: Would you buy it agani? 5280Motoring May 23rd, 2003, 01:22 AM YES! YES! A thousand times YES!
Actually, what I need to express my enthusiasm for the car is the sound file of Meg Ryan in the restaurant from _When Harry Met Sally_. RVW May 23rd, 2003, 01:23 AM :red: :red: :)
Yes No question. I am on my second MINI first JCW Works Cooper now JCW Works Cooper S:D :D :D jon.od May 23rd, 2003, 01:27 AM I think we are all in agreement then! My plan is to get another one when the miles start to climb dmholmes May 23rd, 2003, 01:47 AM Not to be a real downer here but I would have to give a resounding "maybe". I love the car but quite frankly the build quality seems to be fairly marginal. I haven't had a car with so many rattles, squeaks and fairly major (transmission failure at 3500 miles) problems ever. OK, I did have a $75 1965 Buick that the camshaft broke after 20 miles and destroyed the motor, so I guess that was the worst car reliability wise :). We'll see how the Mini is holding up at the end of the warranty. My other biggest concern is the price of BMW service ($89 an hour here) for what is essentially a fairly inexpensive car ($16,800 base) and a lot of potential problems because of all the advanced systems the car has. Granted I DID order most of them but you get my drift :-). Tough call, it is definitely the most entertaining fwd car I have EVER driven though. Redleg13 May 23rd, 2003, 03:08 AM absolutely. the car has become an obsession. like a beautiful woman, it's more than worth the special attention. goin440 May 23rd, 2003, 03:12 AM Would definently buy again. With the information you have got from this site, be sure to confront your dealer and INSIST on them DBL checking and referencing the lastest in fixes/recalls. No reason to even drive it off the lot until then. Peace of mind. Linda M May 23rd, 2003, 04:10 AM Wouldn't even think about it, so YES :D  Lorri May 23rd, 2003, 04:13 AM YES definately... we'd have a family of MINIS :D Lumspeed May 23rd, 2003, 05:34 AM Most Definitely.
Money no object , then I'd buy all three !.
A ONE for general Run Around .( Nippy )
A cooper for Long journey's . ( Economic )
An 'S' for FUN .
Wouldn't have a diesel though !. Spy Car May 23rd, 2003, 11:49 AM No question about it,,,considering buying a "backup". Number1 May 23rd, 2003, 11:58 AM Some minor niggles but OH YAH! Mike Clarke May 23rd, 2003, 10:22 PM Well, I've had my MC just over a year now and it has 35,000 Km on the clock.
It has had major problems, suspension replaced, gearbox replaced, some minor rattles and now the steering column is to be replaced.
So, would I buy it again
Yes, no question about it, there is no other car that appeals to me as much as the MINI. Next time might be an S, but then again might be another Cooper.
