Yep, your right, I just checked again..... Well either i'm going quite mad, or they updated it again. (probably the former)

sorry about that. I'm sure they had a Pure Silver/White roof option though for a while.

This was a one off media/VIP day, and we could snap away to our hearts content (hence the S's going down the production line, and that was a long time ago now)....

Swiched mine from black with white roof / wheels to velvet red with black roof at the weekend, also taking the opportunity to add the sunroof. Now that is definitely the LAST change I'm making..... to the colour anyway!

I'm still hooked on yellow, but open to suggestions !

I've just seen the pictures posted here (and I even think the more 'browny' tinged photos still look classy), and a screensaver of it at the dealers and decided I had to have it. Just hope it looks as good when it arrives! As soon as I heard there would be a dark metallic red I knew I'd go for it though - the decision was finally made when I saw a showroom car which was black/white, and covered in swirls all over the paintwork from some probably too enthusiastic polishing. None of the metallics were like that, but to be fair I was probably just looking for an excuse to change it!

I quite like black, but keep seeing black/white Coopers ! so want something different.
I hope the velvet red looks as good in the flesh...brave of you !
As for black again, I don't think I have the patience to keep it clean ! So it's either yellow, blue or silk green...

I was very nearly swayed by the silk green / black combination. Saw one for the first time in the flesh on Saturday - looked stunning.

If any one who can make such a decision is listening - please please please release this color on the S here in the states. it is my first choice - and if it weren't for my husband's insistance - i would almost go with the standard cooper just to get this color.

Have seen silk green in both black and white roof combos....the white IMHO looks far better !
Still going for yellow at the mo...!

Just found this in one of the galleries. It looks like a very dark silver. Not seen it before. Just sharing etc.

Could just be the effect of strong lights and the flash on metallic black, but it does look like dark metallic grey.

It would look good with a set of white 17's under the arches :D :D :D

Ahhh, yes thats a good point, you could be right. I thought maybe it was velvet red in a different light. But you may have hit the nail on the head.

Have to agree with you jcuthell that is the colour we wanted after seeing it at the NEC.

We have taken delivery of a red/white cooper because this colour wasn't available. We are chuffed to bits with the car - it is a fantastic car but this has taken the shine off it slightly.

A bit early to think about replacing it with a Velvet Red cooper just yet .....

I really want this colour now.

Does everyone agree this is the colour?

Incidentally Silk Green is similar in a way to Ford's Aqua Frost colour. I was going to go for Silk Green but I now keep having visions of Velvet Red with a white roof, especially if that Velvet Red looks as good as the show photo...will any dealers be getting a Velvet Red colour sample soon? (After all the dealer colour sample plates are identical to the actual car colours.)

Thats the baby, I now have that picture as a wallpaper to greet me every morning!

My dealer said they should be getting a colour sample very soon.
