Got a customer who wants an MCS bonnet on a Cooper! I've spoken to about four people here in the dealership who say it's possible 'in theory'. I'd love a definite answer; has anybody actually tried this? This bloke wants his car to look as much like an MCS as possible, but his wife can't drive a manual, hence the Cooper. Any answer would be greatly appreciated!

Hi again!
i have a quick question for you since you are work for the dealership!
is it possible (and if so how much) to get a 2003 cd player (the standard one that comes with the MCS) in my 2002 MCS
reason being is that i am looking for a solution to pay my iPod through my speakers.. and the 2003 has the AUX input and my 2002 doesn't have it!
ive actually ordered an FM transmitter for the iPod .. should be coming today but i can return it for refund
thanks! i look forward to a reply!

You can think about the "magnetic strips", it look so good, and you can't tell the different, the good thing is you can put it on when you like it, and take it out when you want the clean look, you can even change different color everyday :D:D:D
You can go to ebay and find more info

or you can go to the company who make this for more info

bkwalker, this radio thing had caused me much brain damage here! Apparently, it is possible to do some funky stuff to the older units to run an ipod thrugh it, but this method requires a bit of surgery apparently. As far as a new radio...i'll ask the parts guy and see what he says

well yeah ive figured from other threads that i can hook my iPod through a very complicated process which im not really sure how to do.. but it involves the CD stacker wire in the boot and hooking it up through that
sounds too complicated..
im actually going to try to swap head units with another mini owner for a cash consideration... seems like a win/win situation to me :)
but if all else fails im gonna have to buy a new headunit i think.. i NEED all those songs in my car!! hahah
