Going to Key West.
Staying at the Wyndham Resort (www.wyndham.com) Saturday and leaving Sunday.

Okay, a little update on the Key West trip for those of you interested:

The meeting place will be the Snapper Creek Service Plaza on the Turnpike. This is just south of Kendall Drive (SW 88 Street) in Miami. Want to read about the service plaza?? http://www.hmshosttravelservices.com/fl-snapper_creek.html

We are planning to meet there at 8:00 and head off around 8:15 or so.

There is a Hampton Inn on Kendall Drive not too far from the Turnpike. You could leave the Hampton at 7:50 and probably beat everyone to the Service Plaza!

From the plaza, estimate a three hour drive to Key West...

Once in Key West, we plan on staying at the Wyndham Reach Resort ($178 night including tax, etc.)

Put me down for a place !

Okay here is more information about our trip to Key West:

Yes the dates are set, Sept. 6 to 7 - only staying one night (unless you choose differently). Everyone will need to make their reservations directly with the hotel (1-800-626-0777) on an individual basis.
Check in is 4:00 pm and check out is 11:00 am - however we will be able to use the facilities (beach, pool before check in time and after check out). They will hold our bags for us or we can leave them in the MINIs...

Saturday Sept 6th we will be meeting at 8am at the Snapper Creek Service Plaza on the Turnpike. This is just south of Kendall Drive (SW 88 Street) in Miami. We will wait until 8:15 or so before departing.

Be ready to party yourself into oblivion!!!!

The sunset is quite spectacular....

I love the way that anything is the 'southernmost' of it's kind, pharmacy, deli etc...not forgetting the guy who tried to rip me off in the southernmost grocery store.
