: Official MINI Merchandise Quality nellybly Jul 24th, 2003, 11:55 PM I've searched these forums, and have read about people receiving or buying merchandise from MINIUSA, but no one has commented on the quality of these items.
I am specifically interested in the coats, hats, and shirts. They look great, but seem quite expensive.
Any comments would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,
NB mhh366 Jul 24th, 2003, 11:59 PM I purchased 3 hats so far, all different. I love them. They were jus $16.00. The luggage is expensive but I plan on getting some shirts. MrMow Jul 25th, 2003, 12:00 AM I got the Mini long sleeve top (black polyester thing with stripey colours across the chest), its sort of like a heavy duty soccer top, been great, wear it all the time, great quality.. then again I got it freeeeee! AprilWhine Jul 25th, 2003, 12:00 AM I have the dog toy, snowglobe, a 1:18 model, and a variety of small things. It's all very good quality but I've never ordered any of the clothes. LuckyRVA Jul 25th, 2003, 12:21 AM I was given a red hat when picking up my car, but haven't worn it (don't wear hats). It looks top quality though.
-Jason swamos Jul 25th, 2003, 12:49 AM My wife has one of last years red MINI tops. Unfortunately, it has been only average quality at best :( It has already started to stretch. All washing care was taken  stryder Jul 25th, 2003, 02:31 AM I recall chatting with the parts guy at classic when I was there, he said last year's stuff had some quality issues, so it was best to wait for the current ('03) clothing... Haven't heard anything since then. Of course if you get the clothing from classic MINI its cheaper with their discount.
Why again aren't they a sponsor of MINI2?..... grimster1284 Jul 25th, 2003, 02:38 AM I just got the t-shirt with the speedo in the middle and it is of good quality, well worth it to me. Infact I am wearing the shirt right now. shputz Jul 25th, 2003, 02:45 AM I got a red hat last year and it has been OUTSTANDING! For a while it was my only MINI ;) but now I've finally ordered one :D jimskater Jul 25th, 2003, 06:03 AM Let's see,
I've got a ball point pen with a floating MINI, a T-shirt, a baseball cap, a 1:43 die cast--all from MINI, all of excellent quality.
I've also got several 1:24 die casts, two 1:18 die casts, an SCMM.org t-shirt, an MCO t-shirt, and I also purchased an embroidered polo shirt the mini wings logo & "Brecht MINI Motorsports" on it. I will be purchasing some MINI2 stuff when I get back to work...
Da#$%ed yankee, capitalist, imperialist, running dog architects, how dare they lay me off?
I think I like my car. SupeRub Jul 25th, 2003, 06:18 AM I bought a long sleeve pinstrip shirt and it seems to be of decent quality. Haven't washed it though LUV2MINI Jul 25th, 2003, 07:37 AM Have a cap and shirt and yeah they are not bad quality and in todays world not much is cheap anyways :P so not bad BritishRacingGreen Jul 25th, 2003, 09:50 AM I've just had a look on the Mini USA website...nice!

so the merchandise has model year changes too? :D Mike & Donna in Ca. Jul 25th, 2003, 12:16 PM :D :D We have quite a collection of things we've ordered. However, just my 2 cents, the clothing - I believe - could be of better quality.
And it runs small for us US folks. It's more European styling and sizing - which means a little tighter and smaller...:D
Chow!

donna@dcmetrominis.org S1.6 BJD Jul 25th, 2003, 12:31 PM Whilst on a trip to Berlin, went into delaer on Freiderickstrasse picked up a key ring, mini logo&wire for €7.70,
ini silver sunglasses oval shape for €29.00(was€75.00) & two baseball caps for €2.50(was €7.50, last two were on sale, a bargain I thought! Love the keyring better than dealer orange version.Hats are OK and glasses echo shape of wing mirrors & headlights, & suit me, so very happy. Dark Silver S Jul 25th, 2003, 06:00 PM I ordered a baseball cap and a bulldog from MINIUSA. The cap arrived quite quickly. The quality is good. (But, I must say, the cap that Jaguar GAVE me is better quality.)
The bulldog was on backorder, and has never arrived (ordered in January). mia Jul 26th, 2003, 02:57 AM i have mini baby-t, red mini polo, mini monte carlo-t, mileage-t, the new mini 1/2 zip mock sweatshirt, mini sweatshirt full zip up. bucket hat, baseball cap(from montreal), bulldog toy, mini cd hard cover holder,2 mini pens, thermal mug, journal,umbrella...wait, i broke that (my fault entirely), and my husband has a baseball cap and biker jacket.
most i bought from my dealer, some were free, and all things are of good quality. no complaints. and i will be buying more things in the future. probably the vest and the shoes coming out in the fall PUMA line.:D shkeller55 Jul 26th, 2003, 03:02 AM I have 2 caps and they are of good quality. Today while at my dealer I saw an Italian Job T shirt - gray with a red Mini on the front. Was inside a glass case but looked to be of good quality. Unfortunately I didn't notice the price.
The MINI2 T shirts I bought are of good quality cloth, although the red ink used for the body color of the MINI is a little washed-out/orange looking. Same for the coffee cup. But I still like them. stryder Jul 26th, 2003, 01:54 PM Originally posted by Hat

Seems like it! Though actually it seems to be a bit more frequent, more along the lines of half year. Winter and Summer catalogs and such....
