I don't know if this has much bearing on the thread, but I've been waiting for a replacement driver's seat since November but BMW are apparently 'enhancing' the design, hence the long delay.

Whether this enhancement includes new lever mechanisms remains to be seen, but it makes sense that if they've come up with a new one for the S, they may as well install them into any existing cars that have problem seats? It also seems logical to me that they'd be low on stocks of the new seats with the US launch being so close.
