: Chilterns Run II Banter and discussion Martin L Feb 9th, 2004, 01:05 PM My dear beanie, will I be able to exchange some cash over at the airport? Yeah, I'm a detail person just like you. :p Already thinking about the dang details. You'll sort that out for me won't ya? Tyvm. :)
Ruthie, just bring US dollars, I'll buy them off you as I'll be stateside next month and will need them :) Martin L Feb 9th, 2004, 01:08 PM Since you're being picked up, you won't need to tip the driver, so should have time to get some cash.

We will both win as well use the market rate as opposed to the buy/sell rates and save on commission too :p Shamster Feb 9th, 2004, 04:26 PM But you can get commission free deals thru Amex Gold/Barclays Premier etc etc can't you? Martin L Feb 9th, 2004, 04:28 PM But you can get commission free deals thru Amex Gold/Barclays Premier etc etc can't you?
But the rates just takes having no commission into account ;)
I like using my Amex to get currency. OK the rates are like 0.01% worse, but I can do it from the comfort of my desk and it arrives special delivery. No need for me to leave the comfort of my office and interact with the general public :p :D :D mad brummie Feb 9th, 2004, 04:31 PM and the general public are thankful of that Martin!!! :D Rakey Feb 9th, 2004, 05:14 PM Sounds like a good deal with Martin, we jest, but you know he will look after you Ruthie:) Goonery Feb 9th, 2004, 07:06 PM Just to be safe...if I give Martin $100 what would the exchange be in pounds? :o :p
Current Dollar rate about £6, enough for two Diet Cokes and a Hotdog, now if you were going the other way, £100 exchanged for $$'s would buy you a brand new Cooper:D AprilWhine Feb 9th, 2004, 07:25 PM Current Dollar rate about £6, enough for two Diet Cokes and a Hotdog, now if you were going the other way, £100 exchanged for $$'s would buy you a brand new Cooper:D
