And flat caps, or hats on in the car....;)
Is there a way of getting a zimmer frame in a MINI?

there are some fold up ones, they have wheels and stuff so you don't even have to pick em up now;)

might be able to sort you one out if you like, I know a company that makes them, as they also make prams:p

An old farts posse would be fun, sedate driving, moderate drinking, gentle hum of conversation, and loads of cursing:D

Fuzzy is particularly talented at cursing. :D

Peeps staying overnight Saturday at the Holiday Inn, or those who are thinking of joining us for a drink/meal/whatever...

Please note that there is NO organised events for Saturday night, and people can do whatever they like.

There are many eateries and watering holes within walking distance of the hotel.

PLEASE SEARCH within this thread - goonery has put a lot of effort into finding out this information for us!

It is not possible to organise any entertainment en masse that will suit everyone (just think of how many MINIs have the same colour/spec).

My advice would be to arrive at the hotel around 17:00h, and gather at the bar, and see how things develop from there.

My contact number during this weekend is 07092 039 538 which does not work before and after the weekend, and no text messages, voice only. PLEASE LEAVE A MESSAGE WITH YOUR NUMBER, or else I cannot return your call :)

I may have another number that enables caller's number to be displayed soon, and I shall post it up when I have it :)

Edit: New number that will show caller's number = 07017 415 128 :)

Contact me via e-mail/PM/whatever if you think you need more information and attention, especially if you are new to "overnighters" and MINI runs :)

Hey peeps...a quick question.

Based on experience from last year and a rough 'guestimation'...any idea as to when we will be back at the start position.

I know I know...we havent even start the run yet but one of my guests has to be back by a certain time so we will see if he will be able to join us or not.

Anyway, much appreciated,

Jones!

I have not been involved with route planning or be involved in any of the dry runs, so I do not know for certain. However, it is usually the norm to aim to finish the run by 15:30h +/- 30min :)

I don't think the Met Office in ANY country has any idea of what the weather will really be like the next day, unless they stick their head out a window like we do and take a rough guess............:D

At the moment it seems likely that there will be snow showers in the east of the country and they may get far enough inland to reach the oxford area. In any case, it will be cold.

Forecast so far is for nothing major locally, but the east and North may get hit. I came through snow showers yeaterday coming home from Stockport  And driving though the Peaks brought back some nice MINI memories :)

What does "snow showers" mean to you wimpers? I know 40 degrees = cold  (which is WARM to me). So what should I expect? And, what should I wear on my feet? :)
