I'm staying on the Saturday night and I also managed to book a double room for the Sunday night when I really don't want it. I have paid for it and I won't get my money back so if anyone wants to make a cheeky offer they can have the room on the Sunday night.

It must be going to be a quiet night in the hotel then? :(

I've found an Irish pub just 5 mins away from the hotel by Taxi, just incase you feel homesick Aiden :D .
Other hostelries closer, so if anyone fancies non corporate hotel bar style entertainment (and cheaper prices), with locally brewed stuff and pub grub, I have a selection to choose from. I'm creating a map to them all now. Post it later.

There are some 'clubs' nearby (ish), but seeing as we've a long drive the next day over Soggy's sometimes comicallly implausable or do I mean impassable:eek: roads I'm not sure its a good idea. I'll add then to the map anyway.

If it was an Irish pub over here, the spirits measures would be twice as much as in England........;)

If you go to Temple Bar in Dublin on any Saturday night, its quite like an English theme pub..........nothing but English accents ! :D

Irish Pubs seem to be a BIG export thingy from here............ :p

Goonery,
Definately up for non-hotel bar diversions, most hotel bars are super dull even though admit they are convenient for the numbers

The Irish bars are usually full of people who wanna be Irish for the night! :D

The Irish usually go elsewhere:)

yeah but Spearmint rhino EXTREME ;);):D:D

Its a spelling mistake, should read EXPENSE:bad:

Irish bars in England have things like old bicycles on the ceiling, and stuff around the walls advertising 'old Irish products' that probably never existed.
Irsih bars in Ireland are there for drinking, conversation, company, more drinking, more conversation, quiet contemplation, making new freinds, fighting new friends, making up over a pint ,oh and any vegetables, stamps, coal, cigarettes, petrol or groceries you might need as well.
Irish publicans make money , but dont understand how. Owners of Irish bars in England are only there to make money, if Guatamalan bars were popular , then all the English Irish bars would be converted tomorrow.

Hmmm wonder what a Guatamalan bar is like?
