What are the numbered yellow areas? My first assumptions: 1. Where John veered off the road; 2. Where John had to stop and call AAA because he was lost; 3. Where John stopped to relieve himself.

My (gadget) guess would be that they're waypoints from GPS software... ;)
That's what I'm planning to do with my GPS if my buddy at work brings his cable and CD in before Friday. Is there a prize if I'm right..? :D

John, Ian,
Maybe we should all agree to have our photo as an avatar and then we could see who were the elders of the group (and therefore desrving of respect) and who were the cheeky young pups..! :D Of course John will never agree to this because it would take him an extra hour to load each page over his d...i...a...l...u...p... connection;)

One sign of a good manager is that he can get others to work creatively. Thanks, guys and keep it up. Time for my nap.

Here's a list of possible area events/locales people might be interested in visiting during the slack time between the end of our run and dinner at the Rynborn.

- The Vermont Country Store (www.vermontcountrystore.com/)
- Bluegrass Festival - Cheshire County Fairgrounds
- Colony Mill Marketplace (http://www.colonymill.com/)
- Wine & Cheese @ Rick & Laurie's (with a possible screening of the original "Italian Job" and /or the remake if the delivery comes in time.)
- Climb Mount Monadnock (http://www.nhparks.state.nh.us/ParksPages/Monadnock/Monadnock.html)
- Visit Downtown Keene
- Cornfield maze at High Hopes Orchards (http://www.highhopesorchard.com/adventures.html) (more for kids)
- CD store under the Colonial theater - a favorite hangout of jcsinnh
- Twinkle Town mini golf !!!!!! (guess who came up with this one)

and of course...NAPTIME :D

We'll be happy to provide directions at the meet (John is in charge of the ones for napping).

one thing you left out that every good meet needs is the location of a nearby car wash for those arriving early with dirty cars

There's a four bay self service plus one bay touchless right across the Connecticut River from our place in Walpole. (or our hose, bucket and Griot's car wash).

Burton Car Wash on Canal Street in Brattleboro (no self service)

Key Road Car Wash in Keene. (self service and touchless)

Another omission: more motoring!

I know you can nap but I bet you can't whitewash a fence.

I've never had the pleasure, there was always some schlemeil (sp?) hanging around eager to take the brush. Then Becky and me, we'd amble down to the malt shoppe and blow bubbles with our straws........

Music alternative....10/11 in Peterborough (on Rte. 101) at Harlow's, 9PM, The Ken Clark Organ Trio. If you like the Hammond B3 and absolutely unbelievable funky jazz... Ken Clark is, I swear, about to erupt and blow all other B3's out of the water. He's from Beverly, records on Severn, and is exciting to watch and hear.

Hey, give me back my signature...Who took it? Come on!

Hey!

The big block in our Saturday schedule (soccer game) got cancelled, so Lynn and Adam and I are thinking about coming to MAMA, at least for the motoring portion. Don't know for sure yet, but just in case -- is anyone gathering inside 128 to motor up together? If so, we'd love to join in. We'd gladly run porcupine intereference for the convoy.

rfinprc,

Gavin and Ian are going to meet up with some others at the mall in Manchester.

I am going to shoot out the pike and then up 495 and meet Steve there for a hopefully thrilling ride. Those are the only groups I know of.

Just offering an idea. I won't mention the potential Rynborn appearance of Sc****tt for I fear an evil spell. But, rest assured, I-lean and I will be in Keene Saturday night.

While I've been sitting here whiling away the hours waiting for my Pilo Racing intake to arrive, I've put up a better image of the Come to MAMA Route Map on our website (http://www.sirannon.com/mini/mainpages/map.htm).

Talk about your car marking it's territory....

Serioously though. Will we be taking deer trails for the 53 miles from Keene to Walpole? Frightening as I have not the slightest wish to lose yet another headlight.

Forget the deer, this is moose country..... and the occasional chipmunk.

I'm sure they will be congregating 'round their kinsman, the exalted Grand Turkey, the Butterball of the Cape.
