To be honest, I really like the black mesh grille on the bottom of the S bumper, and don't like the silver oval grille on the cooper, I think it's JUST a bit too much silver/chrome. So, is there any way of changing that bit of grille (under the numberplate) for one similar to the S grille, in black (obviously its a different shape)? Thanks for the info though guys! :) A lot of ONE owners have done the opposite to yourself. Just go to your local MINI dealer buy the part and fit it. It does involve removing the bumper. Or just spray paint it black, but that would stone chip.
