Silver but it has to reflect light in lots of different colours, that would be cool!
But not the silver cars have at the moment, the current silver is too white looking.

i would take a REAL YELLOW MCS
same color as the nsx/s2000/ducati 748, and not the ugly white mixed color they have now..that they call yellow

A nice bright non metallic blue..

So many people keep asking for non-metallic colors. Why? I understand the original BRG wasn't metallic so that makes sense, and I realize metallic costs a bit more, but otherwise I don't get it.

Metallic is shiny and more interesting, especially in sunlight, what do people have against it?

Black Cherry ... Black with a really rich dark purple twist - lovely with all the chrome bits. Maybe with colour-flip laquer.

Or mega-metallic Purple - a dark shade thereof - not too pink.

Or blood orange.

There's no such thing as a nicer colour than Electric Blue :D ;) I'm sure you knew you would get a bite when you said that, so I will do it for all the other EB owners who would not change for any other colour! :D ;)

I agree with you there Damo. I saw a M3 in the BMW garage in that colour and it looks awesome! The photo does not do it justice!

Old school BRG, non-metalic, IMHO is more interesting BECAUSE it's less dazzeling. It embodies the mystic and tradition & nostalgia of Brittish racing.

Given a choice I would have gone for traditional BRG with no hesitation.

I liked blue but since my dad's jaguar s type is blue also, i picked pepper white. and I love it!! i can't wait to get rid of the stock bumpers and skirts and replace em with bmw kits. :D

I ran across that Jag online yesterday... it is gorgeous, and for sale I think, $23,000 something... almost could make me pass up the MCS. If I found an Aston Martin DB5 restored like that (and it was $23k) I think I would pass up the MCS :) :)

About 10 years ago when the BMW 318ti sport first came out (in Australia), there was a colour for the ti sport only called "techno violet" essentially a metallic black shot with a blue/violet colour, truly lush :p ;)

I would have to go with the 'Gulf' colour scheme from the old racing Ford GT40. Light blue with thick deep orange stripe down the middle, and a number. Class... :cool:

From the very first picture released, of the new MCS in Electric Blue with white top, I've been in love with the car and the color. The Blue Lapis interior was icing on the cake! I have no plans of buying a newer MCS, but then why would I? It'd be the same color combination.

I can't think of any colour I would swap to

Pepper White, Chili, Jet Black and Dark Silver are perfect the way they are.

Pure Silver seems innocuous... almost a non-color.

Indi Blue was perfect though possibly slightly too dark the way BRG is definitely too dark (Purple Haze I'm concerned about having a lack of discernability too). Ever notice that the original press photos of BRG showed a much more lucid green?

Liquid Yellow is my least favorite color... but I'm glad other people love it and lavish so much pride on it.... (even MINIUSA uses a more vibrant yellow on their intro page).

TWO blacks are a wasted opportunity to have another great color.

Solid Gold is way too copper-ish for my taste. I'd imagine something more sophisticated like say a platinum, whiter gold.

Silk seemed insipid to me (sorry folks) and Velvet Red seemed terrific. EB is fantastic.

But the number one color I'd like to see would be a terrific Sizzlin Green (like the BMW 2002 pictured above).

The thing I'd like to know is this, however... why has COLOR become such a strong aspect of the MINI? Is it just me, or does it seem like MINI owners have an usually strong affection / interpretation of the color of their/someone else's MINI?

I like the pastel colors that VW is using on the Beetle convertible; pale yellow, pale blue. Those are the colors that I associate with classic British cars (in addition to BRG, of course). I had a light (jasmine) yellow GT-6, and my brother had a light (pale primrose, I think) yellow MGB, and that color always looks good.
I've also fancied the metallic "burnt" orange that Cadillac is putting on their new rear-drive sedan (CTS? CST?); with a DS roof and stripes.

does anyone have a pic of the new 'Astro Black' Mini Colour?

My dealer said that its almost identical to the old metallic black, but the mini site shows the colour as a very dark grey???

Yeah, techno Violet. They did it on the last M3. Really nice. I'd like Estoril Blue too.
