Port Hueneme is on the northern tip of LA in Ventura. Most likely it will be transported by truck to Seattle. Call your MA about how long it will take.

I can't believe it Yesterday my dealer called my Office to tell me my car was in, It was way before I expected it considering The Otello dropped it on Saturday, it only took the VPC 2 working days to get it through (although weather may have been a factor as they might have wanted to get as many cars off the dock before the storm from yesterday came through).
This is so unfair, I am out of the area on Business and won't be able to pick it up until at least Friday if not later :(

I was on the Otello also, just got a call (oh, alright, i called them) and it came in (Pittsburgh). Scheduled to go pick it up tomorrow.

While my car is at the dealer waiting for the 21st, I am collecting bits and pieces for the dealer to install. Like a hands free kit, dash mount, plug & play kit, mini fini arm rest, cubby thingy :D Most pieces are in, my arm rest arrived in the country this afternoon. Delivery is expected tomorrow.

As of yesterday there have been 2 stops shown for CHARLESTON on the same day and I just checked right now and it says that it already arrived at and departed from the first stop but it doesnt show that my car has been unloaded or anything. I'm sure it's fine and my car will be unloaded on the second "stop" but I've just never heard of this happening. Has this happened to anyone?

Well, that's odd... looks like some kind of reporting error.

On another note -- I see you are in SA. I'm in Austin, but also bought my MCS from MINI Center there in SA. Have you heard from then as to when you can expect delivery? I'm very curious about the delay from unloading in Charleston to delivery in SA...

Otello did that. It turns out there are two voyages. In the case of Patriot (is that your ship) the voyages are EB401-PAT and NB401-PAT. If you go to the WW site you will see one starts in Antwerp and finishes at Baltimore, the other starts in Brunswick and finishes at Southampton. The first date I guess is mostly unloading, the second date perhaps is mostly loading.

So, unloading on the 28th = picking up on or about the 8th = about 11 days. Sounds good. I'm hoping my car unloads on the 3d (as scheduled, which has slipped by 1 day), so I can retrieve on the 14th (Valentine's Day, LOVE IT!). Another central Texas MINI-owner-in-waiting (BryanDixon) also said 11 days sounds about right. Two confirmations works for me! Let the dreaming continue! :) So, I guess I'm right at a week behind you.

Has this happened to anyone? It now says that the boat has already departed from Charleston but it doesn't say that my car was unloaded. It has been like this for about 8 hours. I know my car is supposed to be on the ship because my dealer told me that it's on there. Pretty weird...

For the people watching the Freedom (both of us), found it again -- 40 42'N and 68 54' W -- not far off the coast of Canada. Ultimate target -- roughly 34N, 77W. Getting closer!!! :D Still scheduled for Feb. 3 unloading in Charleston. Meanwhile, the Taiki is headin' south! Is it about halfway to its final destination?

I'm really looking forward to posts about CARS, not BOATS! :p Want to see "new baby" photos of everyone's MINI ASAP!

Thought I would get this link in front of us again so we are ready. Looks like we are on a straight shot into the canal. Since the ship is always a bit ahead of the map position, it might happen quicker than we think. Any guesses on when we should start watching the "canal cams?"

FYI: The Gatun locks are on the Atlantic side and the Miraflores locks are on the Pacific.

No but I have some good news (for me). I called my MA today to see if there was a EDD and he said no cause who knows where on the ship the car is BUT considering how MINI pressures the dealers (and his boss pressures him) to get the cars out the door and off the books, he was 90% sure I would have my car by the end of Feb. So for you California drivers, that should mean GREAT news for you.

Except, I have to pick her up in Salt Lake City. She insisted on a tour of the Rockies early into her new life. Sigh, what can you do ... I'm hoping for last week in Feb. also.

Took a look at the big map and given the speed we've moved from Florida, it seems that we probably start the "Canal phase" late tomorrow afternoon or evening.

I found a thread on creating siggies, and the guys were soooo helpful. I downloaded a free paint program (The Gimp), and it was pretty fun to play with it. I did that one in a hurry; whenI have more time, I'll do a really cool one. :)
