Does anybody know what the small red light near the base of the windscreen (centre of dashboard) is ?

Is it ever supposed to flash ?

My car has the standard Thatcham 1 alarm set-up with the flashing red indicator stalk and this other red light has never lit up.
I have looked through the owners manual and cannot find any reference to it.

Any comments most welcome.

KenL, Thanks for th swift reply. What does a red LED do for the aircon system ? Is this not supposed to flash ? It looks to me like it is part of the alarm system but has never flashed / lit up.

Its never going to flash..................ever.............trust me on that ! ;)
