I just want to you all to know to be sure to check out the PDF to fully understand who's invited and why. ProAutosports grows their membership by hosting groups like this. It's good for them and it's good for us. Both parties win.
This is not a free-for-all type of event. It is organized and you must adhere to their rules. This is not an "OPEN" track event. There will be other people there to race in their divisions, so we will be allowed on the track at certain times.
This is great opportunity to allow you to take your Mini or MINI on a race track and see if club racing is something you'd enjoy doing long term. Be forewarned, racing is VERY addicting. :D

Just got this comment from a person coming to the track day. I think its a really good idea!
We are instructed to be there before 8:00am to gain
access to the Infield. I was wondering if you and others want to meet
before 8:00am (around 6:45am) at Krispy Kreme, 5009 S Arizona Mills
Cir. Tempe (South Parking Lot). It's just off I-10 on Baseline and
minutes from Firebird. A caffeine and sugar boost may be just what we
need!

Any planning on taking advantage of the free driving school on Saturday, please call Tom P (see PDF file for his number) to make a reservation so they can be sure to have enough instructors available.

Whew! What a day at the track. Today’s turn-out was awesome. 2 Loti and over 8 MINIs—lost count. Tomorrow should be an incredible turn out. What happened today was unexpected. I did the driving school today instead of tomorrow because they expect over 40 drivers in the class. There were only 15 or so today. What made it difficult was there weren’t enough instructors to ride in everyone car so we had to split up. We got 5 20 minute track sessions, which was much more than I thought.
The people there are super nice. By far the nicest bunch of racers I’ve ever meet. Sure you have to stage on time, but everything else is really relaxed. The classroom was better than I thought it would be. I certainly got my $40.00 from it. The in-car instructors were really cool, and the classroom instruction taught me things I had no clue about.
This is the last time their club plans to do anything like this. Prices are going up. Be sure to get there at least for the free laps and get your coupon to get into a future driving school.
If you plan to do the driving school on Saturday, be sure to get there no later than 7:30AM so you can get registered and over to the classroom which starts at 8AM sharp. Also be sure to have a FULL tank of gas. In those 5 20 minutes sessions I ran it to empty from a full tank (yes, less than 10 MPG).
Be sure to say “thank you “to Tom Ptacek as well as the owners Larry & Vickie Pond who brought you this awesome opportunity.

I was going to attend the track time at the end of January, but had to work both days :(
My car is somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic right now scheduled for Port Hueneme arrival on 3/17. Haven't come across any other AZ owners on my boat.
Did you track your car from VDC to dealer and pick up? How long did it take? How have your interactions with Mini NS been thus far?
I also will be getting Indi Blue but have chosen to walk on the wild side and get the black roof and caps. Something different. Also have chosen the Lapis Gravity blue/black leather interior. Will be a nightmare to keep clean, but what the heck.
Look forward to chatting further with you and other AZ owners. My first event will be in April if there is one.
Motor on!!!!

I just found a mini located at a dealer already in the US (mini of st. louis) so i didn't have to wait the 9 months at mini of scottsdale. Everything went smooth except for the shipment. The dealership charged me to detail the car and shipped it with no protection of any kind. When i got the car it was completely brown with rocks stuck in the grill  I called the dealership today and told them i wanted a refund on the detail charge or to have them call mini of scottsdale and set up a free detail through them.
