A great RSL (rissole) is one thing, but a pub on every second corner is a dream or a thing of fable !

Well fear not as Im here to let you all in on a little secret. The place of S&*T loads of pubs does in fact exist . It resides in a little haven only a mere few KMs from SYDNEYs centre - the place is home to a healthy collection of new MINIs ,PUBS , Nice people , PUBS & Sport loving people. If you love nice places to eat you're also in luck!

Its BALMAIN - the place where boys don't cry , the TIGERS roar & you'll never go thirsty !

i think it's actually the "Returned and Services League", but most people will tell you "Returned Servicemen's League"!

they're clubs that were initially setup to offer a social network for returned servicemen after the big wars... not to cheapen the concept, but now-a-days they seem more concerned with cheap drinks [they're given tax-breaks by the government] & have lots of poker-machines!

There is no doubt that Australia is a great country. Its definately a place that I would want to bring up kids in. I've only lived in Brisbane since I moved over here and have to admit that it is a nice city. The weather is great the people are very friendly and pretty chilled out. I've visited Sydney, Melbourne and Perth and think they are great too.

You should bear in mind that there are a lot of good reasons to be over here but it is not a bit like Scotland. People's attitudes, sense of humour, interests, etc can be very different and it can take a bit of getting used to even if you are looking for a change. Just remember that if you do come out here and decide you don't like it, home is only a flight away!

Oh, by the way I'm originally from Glasgow. Any chance of bringing out some Irn Bru if you come over? ;)
