Hi,
I am thinking about getting the 200BHP conversion done to my MCS.
Can current owners please answer the following for me :
1) Are you pleased with your conversion ?
2) Any issues that you have now become aware of ?
3) Any issues about TLC or Warranty from BMW ?
4) Were you happy with the quality of the work done ?
5) Given the choice again, would you still pick the Hartge or go for another conversion ?
6) What made you select Hartge over the other options.
Thanks for you help in making this very difficult decision.
Thanks

Ok here goes:
1) Couldn't be happier , had mine done last March and the car still still makes me smile :D
2) I've had no problems whatsoever :)
3) As for the warranty well Birds offer a full warranty for 12 months, which you can extend if you which. As for TLC , it seems to depend on your dealer, mine has serviced mine without question even though they are fully aware of the conversion :D
4) If your worried about the quality of the work , I suggest you give Birds a ring or go & visit them you won't be disappointed!
5)If I had the choice I'd go for their 265BHP conversion, but can't justify or afford the cost ;)
6) I chose Hartge after a visit to Birds, & of course it's not £3500!
I've since been back to them to have a Milltek exhaust, and I can't rate them highly enough!
Go for it! :)

To help its prob worth a enquiry on their website, I filled one in and got a call back the same day from Matt O'Donnell.... He also sent me a bunch of literature through the post, seems like a top quality outfit to me.... I'm just waiting to get my gearbox issues sorted before i book mine in for the upgrade....

Andy,
Thanks I have spoken to Matt and have the info pack also. I agree about the customer service,
as so far they have answered all questions very quickly and come over as very proffesional.
In fact it is this proffesional approach and that their conversion has been tested by so many people
(EVO, Top Gear, J Clarkson ect ect) that is pushing them to the top of my list.

What Shorty said basically ;):D
You can't ignore TUV approval for their modifications as a plus point either.
In future if they carry modification parts for any of my future cars they would be the first people i'd call.

I visited Birds as well and was very impressed!
The only criticism i can muster against Birds is that they are now cutting interest in the MINI and returning to tuning big Mercs and BMWs i.e. their roots. I consider this to be a slight negative when it comes to future warranty issues and resale. The start of this 'change' can be blamed on the sale of their S demonstrator, meaning that they now only have one old S with the Spirit exhaust system with which to woo customers.
Just my 2p worth :)
