I put in a post in the dragon run thread, but the post might get missed from all the other posts. I am going to make up the parts needed for the brake light mod for anyone that would like me to, I'll also install it. It only takes a few minutes to install it into a car. The reason I have decided to do this was to help out my fellow motorers that would like to do this but are afraid to try it. It is very simple and I did it to my car the other day, I'm very gald I did. All I ask for is the cost of parts. For the cars that do not have the rear fog light option it'll be a dollar at the most. The cars with the rear fogs will cost 3-4 dollars because of the cost of the diodes. If you would like me to do this for you please pm me and let me know if you have the rear fog lights. I'm only making up enough for those that let me know plus maybe a couple more, and don't wait til the last minute either please.

I've already got the brake light mod (great mod) and I won't be going to the Dragon Run, but I just wanted to say that I think it's a very nice thing for you to offer to help everyone out like that! :D

What does the brake light mod do?
Background: All MINIs come equipped with rear foglights. However, in the US the foglights are not activated. Everything is there for them, including the bulb, but we lack the switch and the programming to operate them. This can now be remedied but that's another story.
The brake light mod basically turns your unused foglights (the top bulb in your tail light assemblies) into brake lights, making you MUCH more visible to the idiots behind you, who seem to have a tendency to want to slam into the backs of our poor little MINIs. It's a quick, easy and cheap mod and well worth it.

Yes, it is very easy, not time consuming, and doesn't take alot of know how to make this work. I just decided to volunteer some time to my fellow motorers who wanted this and didn't want to attempt it get the opportunity to get it done for them. Just costs you the parts.
