Oh, I will definitely be posting some pics when I get it. I just watched the local weather forcast and they are forcasting rain for the next two days... It never rains in Texas.. until I get ready to pick up my MCS!! #$%^#!!!!!

I just got off the phone with my MA and my MCS has arrived! "woohoo!!!" I can pick up tomorrow eve or Saturday morning. Yipppeeeee..

So.. for all you guys here's the timeline:

3/6 ordered
4/1 started production
4/5 ended production
4/6 loaded on vessel
4/22 arrived at port
4/26 arrived at VPC
4/29 arrived at dealer

Not bad... 8 weeks total. That's for an east coast port (U.S.) Texas delivery

Hey all my MC was finished in April 29, and was transported to the port on the same day. I am booked on the Takasago, scheduled to sail Sunday may 2, and arrive in New York, on May 10. Anyone else booked on this ship?? Can't wait, till its get to the dealer, he does still have to install a whole bunch of aftermarket, stuff but I can call and bug him to get it done once its there lol. Hope all of you who are being united with your MINIs over this weekend, have a fabulous time, with great weather, and hope to hear from all of you to see how it went. Talk to you all soon. :)

how do I know if my car definitely made it on the ship. I was booked on the Taksago, and recieved at the terminal on 4/29. Ship was set to sail Southampton, today and it did, yet my car still says only up to recieved at terminal. Is this common, was thinking perhaps the site wasn't updated. Getting a little nervous. Let me know if anyone has had this experience. Thanks

Hmm... give it some time maybe.

Mine arrived at terminal and was 'loaded on vessel' all at the same time. Ship left just after that.

Just curious if anyone on the Maersk Teal has heard from their dealer about picking up thier MINI yet. Called mine over the weekend and he doesn't seem to willing to help. Waiting for a BRG/W MCS

Still no change, Getting a little worried, still says recieved at terminal, and 866 ask mini, says its at the port, so keep your fingers crossed everyone, ill keep you updated

My MA called today to say that Blitzen was just about to come off of the truck.. He is off tomorrow so Wed is the day! So excited!!

Will post pics just as soon as I can.. Its ugly and rainy here but I may go snap a few tonight just to get me through..

My car was shipped on the Hual Triton which left I believe on the 14th arrived at New York port the 23rd.. Car sat at New York Port until Friday when it was released for transport and arrived today at the dealership..

The wifes MCS should be right behind in a day or two. Boy will she be P.I.S.S.E.D.
that mine has come in first, after all we did originaly go out to just buy one for her.

Well after all; my MCS needs some time to have the JCW installed.... Looks like real soon we will have to hire a limo to take us to the dealer to pick up our new babies!!

Give it a little more time. Perhaps it will take the next ship. But if it was booked for this one, theres no feasible reason it wouldnt be on it! :confused:

I apologize for not getting back to you, I have been super busy motoring! My dealership was Moritz MINI in Arlington TX - The whole experience was simple, and very straightforward. Very professional. I would highly recommend them and most likely will be a repeat customer. The price was MSRP, no upcharges or hidden costs.

As far as freebies go:

Usual Smints
Baseball cap with MINI logo (black) very nice
Key Chain
Full tank of gas
I did mention to my MA that my son would really like a MINI Bulldog and he said that he would see what he could do. (They were out of them at the time.)

...not much else...

The only thing that is an issue for me is the break-in period. It is very hard to keep it under 4500 rpms and 90 MPH!!! This car is by far the best driving experience I have had in a long time. I enjoy driving again!

Oh, and one other thing. When you are stopped in your MINI (market, gas station, etc.) Be prepared to spend at least 30 minutes catering to lookers! I have never seen a car that drew soooo much attention. (I love it!) :indi:

My dealer just let me know that mine will be in this week.

Of course the WW tracking shows that the car was never unloaded!!
Of course the Lounge says its en-route.
We are going for a reverse hat trick. Will the tracking systems go 0 for 3?
Of course ask-mini says the car is on the dock waiting for a shipl!

I here ya OldPaint.. Everyone forget about any way of tracking your MINI once it has hit the dock and has been loaded on a ship. You'll have to wait until your MINI hits your shore, then after a few days give your dealer a call to check on the status.

OL, WW and ASK MINI at this point is W.O.F.T. Get my drift?

I can;t wait till I get mine, Would love to see pics from all of you, Mine still says its recieved at terminal, yet the boat is was booked on left 2 days ago, so i don;t know if I am on there or not.
