Finally, after several months of "lurking" and never contributing I have finally decided to actually join and post :) I put a deposit on my new 2004 MC February 7 and ordered it March 8, 2004. After speaking with the incredibly nice person at ASK MINI I found out that my MC is scheduled to start production the week of March 29th. I hope that it gets built and finishes on April 6, so that my MINI and I can share the same birthday (although 23 years apart :D). Here are my specs:

2004 MC IB/W with White Bonnet Stripes
5 Spd
Panther Black Leatherette Interior
White 16" 5 spoke alloy rims
Chrome Bumper Trim
S-Sport Multi-function Steering Wheel

It should arrive sometime in the first/middle part of May (poor desert dweller in AZ here, long time to ship)...

Has anybody in the UK recieved their mini earlyer than the due date? I'm due on April 16th but really would like it for Easter weekend!!!! My 'S' filler cap came today, it looks so comical, really big!!

Mines due on the 8th, Holy Thursday, but I'd say by the time its PDId, I'll hardly have it for Easter Weekend.....:(

Because of all you knowledgeable peeps, I have found out every scrap of information I could about my little Lola ( :ebblack: ), she'll be in NYC on 3/31!

What do they say... ignorance is bliss. Now the minutes can't tick away fast enough with all my new found information... and anticipation! Is anyone else out there on the Modern Drive (yes, I saw the horror story, but I am not thinking of that anymore)?

My order went in mid Febraury. I have noticed the miniusa site isn't keeping up with Lola. It still says Awaiting Transport when in fact she is at sea right now. I called ASK MINI about a delivery date. They didn't have a specific week, but said it takes about 16 days from NYC docking to a MA delivery. That means I should be getting her mid April.

I tell you it is getting harder to get into my no-frills Corrolla every day!!

My order jumped forwarded from June production to April over night. I think it was a cancelled it. It is meant to be delivered on the 16th. Does anyone else have a car being delivered to the SEWELL Bishops Stortford?

Anyone else heard any more rumours on the cars being shipped early?

Wow! All this talk about early early early has me getting really excited.. I am up at 1:43AM and can not sleep.. I check the owners lounge every day to see if my production week 15 EB/W MCS is scheduled for the "Birth Canal" I am hoping the usual increase in orders due to Spring buying season will place pressure and enduce labor! :eek:

I am ready! We put our deposit down Dec 21st with a stall in putting the order in on purpose so as to avoid getting the car during the salty Winter months.. "Blitzen" will be kept in the barn during the Winter..

Sorry for the rambling.. just getting excited knowing worse case it is only a couple more weeks until production!

Little good that did since mine has been waiting for a ship ever since. :( It is supposed to be loaded this Saturday on the slowest ship on the planet. It's supposed to take 14 days! Most of the other ships take 11-13 days. LOL. It will get here eventually. Good luck.

Just found out some great news! I called Ask MINI and they clarified the week for me.
Week 15 is actually one week away and not two like I thought.. So I am actually one week ahead of schedule by my estimates.

My MA ordered his car and it was built week 11 also! He said his is shipping next week also so your two cars could be shipmates..

How did you find out about your boat etc.. How did you know it is so slow?
Is there a way to track the ship?

The tracking is not accurate, but I also e-mailed Mini a couple of times and they let me know what was going on. My mini started on the production line on March 11 and was finished on the 22nd. I was also told that the ship carrier "WW" lost their exclusive mini carrier status......... in other words, BMW/Mini has hired another carrier as well as WW to transport Mini's around the world. I have gone to WW and entered my tracking information but it somes up with no results so I am assuming that it will be sent on another carrier. Kind of frustrating but it will get here when it gets here and .......... good things come to those who wait. This is far more exciting than going down the street, walking into a dealership adn buying a cr on the spot, a car that EVERYONE else has!!!!! Mini's are unique and so are we!!!!!!!!

I want to ping my dealer this coming week just to confirm some things. I was told production week 17 originally. If my browsing this board is correct that puts me in my Mini late May or so which is a very long wait!!!!

Hmm. Ask Mini still says my MINI is "in transit", but I know it hasn't been built yet. I guess I'll have to call during the week and talk to a person.
