Ordered my MINI Cooper in early March at New Country Mini in Hartford, CT, and hoping for a mid- to late-April delivery. She's supposed to be booked on the Aida tomorrow, arriving in NJ on April 10.

I called Ask MINI this morning and spoke with a very nice British fella who gave me the DL on Blitzen. Production on the car started yesterday and April 8th is the scheduled completion date as you said. Trying to get info from the March group about how long it took for East Coast people to receive their cars to get an idea of how long the wait is from here.

Blitzen and "Baby BRG" will be delivered before you know it..

Where did you order your car ? I ordered mine on 1st March (cancelled slot) and i was told the end of April today. :(

Until today I was fine just sitting around waiting for my dealer to call and update me on how my Mini was doing. Then I had to log on to MINI2 and have a look-see. Because of all you knowledgeable peeps, I have found out every scrap of information I could about my little Lola ( :ebblack: ), she'll be in NYC on 3/31!

What do they say... ignorance is bliss. Now the minutes can't tick away fast enough with all my new found information... and anticipation! Is anyone else out there on the Modern Drive (yes, I saw the horror story, but I am not thinking of that anymore)?

Well, I went from May production to April production to 3/26 build date, but it turned out that the 3/26 was actually someone else's car (which is good since it was the wrong color & spec). Now I've got "official" word (from my dealer and confirmed by Ask MINI) that my BRG MCS will be built in week 17, so my MINI will be in April production after all. :D

got some great news for some!! I wasnt expecting delivery till early May, just had a call to say that the cars ready to collect in the next few days, thats almost 6 weeks early!! Anyone got any idea why its this early. Fingers crossed they havnt skipped any of my spec!

That's excellent news :cool:. When did you order? Mine was ordered early March (7th I think), and is supposed to be at the dealer on April 30th, so maybe mine will be coming early too!

Ordered mine 2nd Feb, but stated i wanted to pick it up May because of financial committments. Its come a bit to early for my bank manager, but is a welcomed early arrival for me! I was told mini have upped production, possibly to make room for the convertable?

I'm kinda crashing your guys' thread, because I'm technically a May build, but like someone before me mentioned, the ASK MINI automated line is screwed up. It keeps telling me that my vehicle is in transit, and I am a week 19 build, confirmed by both my MA and a rep. I think you're better off speaking with a rep - the rep I spoke with two days ago said the system was messed up...

The Modern Drive docked yesterday. I have notification for WW that my MCS is off loaded. Miniusa.com says my delivery date is 4/7 but I am not sure if that is delivery to the dealer or delivery into my awaiting arms.

I am so excited, I might just burst!!

Oh -- mean April fools joke happened to me.

A friend of mine spoofed an email from my dealer, and my rep there. It looked like it was from Steve and Mini and it read along the lines of "there will be a 6 week delay in shipping Minis due to a labor union problem." I fell for it hook, line, and sinker even though I keep up with the news.

He was in my office working at a computer and I even read it out loud to him. Then he instant messaged me "dude, april fools!!!".

Anyone following my other posts knows that I have orderd TWO, yes 2 MCS, one for me and one for the wife. The dealer said that both are in production as of 3/31/2004. Checked online and indead mine is in production and I have been asigned a vin number. My wifes on the other hand still posts on order, boy is she :bad::bad::bad::bad:ed. Then I called "ASK MINI" 1-866-275-6464 ( the automated line ) gave the last 7 digits of the vin for mine I got the production date of 4/14/2004. Just for the fun of it I called back gave both our production numbers and the response I got was that both cars are "IN TRANSIT". So what's up with that?

My MCS (BRG) just went to scheduled for production. - What a nice Birthday 04/04/04!! :p

For those of you keeping track of the wait at the factory, according to the customer service rep at ask mini, my MCS was to be finished with production no later that 4/15 (I called them for that info not quite three weeks ago).

We've got a bank holiday weekend coming up. Good Friday and bank Holiday Monday, so I wonder if that changes the delivery at all?

Hopefully not, i plan to pick up good friday. I know shops are open then, but garages? Asked dealer if friday would be ok and they said yes, hope they are open and they havent just forgot about it! Going to have to check tommorrow, in fact think i'll pop in and have a looksie at my new baby!

Mine was slated for Production Week 14, however, that is the week coming up, and it's a;ready been built. It's supposedly waiting at the docks in Southampton but may have just made it on to freighter already. According to the online records, it was booked on Friday's sailing, however, it was waitlisted, whatever than means.

Anyway, my order was for IB/W, with white mirror caps and wheels too. Premium, sports, and cold weather packages, cordova beige leather upholstery with anthracite dashboard. I am thinking about getting the aftermarket roof graphics from CooperFlags, but don't want to go too far. Also, I'm having a hard time picking which flag I'd go with; the St. George's Cross or one of the two Union Flag choices.

Just found out that the wifes MCS is in production for 4/16/2004. :D Mine is still 4/14/2004. :D

My salesman pulled up the production status on his computer and it showed my IB/W in paint and body...scheduled for interior assembly that night. Production is complete on 4/5 woohoo! Now... getting her on the boat is the next leg of the journey! It will not be long now. I even painted my garage for the welcoming party!

Yeah, the wife and I are in the middle of doing a complete overhaul of our garage. You know, you must do something special to welcome the new babies, in our case two new MCS. :D :D

I happened to go out and check the WW site and my VIN is not showing up yet. I thought they new in advance which ship it was travelling on. Or am I just smokin' something?

I rang up my dealer and they won't get the car until the 15th! The delivery date, damn it!! They've not even got the delivery note through yet! :-(

BUT, it starts numbering from 0 not 1, so that could be where the inconsistency arose.

Not that it matters a lot. My new baby did not get loaded on Friday as was expected. Indeed neither did 180 of its siblings that were on the same WW booking number. Actually, only 8 of the 189 that were listed were actually loaded. My baby is now scheduled for the next sailing on the 7th.

Just click on the "Track by Cargo/Auto" link and enter your VIN number as the Cargo ID. You'll probably see that your car is now booked on the Falstaff, sailing on Wednesday.
