IB/W is a wicked colour for a cooper. Mine is the same with bonnet stripes and when she's clean she gets the looks wherever she goes. Good choice!

I will miss her when my all black MCS turns up on Friday!!!!!!! :D

I had a postcard today which told me that my MINI cooper was being built in Oxford. I assume everyone gets one of these so any advice on how long I can expect to wait now? My initial date was April 22nd - do you think it may now be earlier???

Have a delivery date of April 17th, and it just can't come soon enough!!

I just got word this morning that my production date is April 9! It's still going to be a long wait, from that date to whatever time it takes to reach the East Coast, get options installed by the dealer there, then a truck ride out to me in California... but still much better than paying $2500 over MSRP AND waiting 4+ months at my local dealer!

Last Monday I received my production number from Otto's MINI in West Chester PA.
It's official... Production week 15 here !

Spoke to my dealer today and he informed me that there's a good chance that UK Minis with a delivery date from April onwards could be (and he stressed 'could be') delivered up to 2 weeks early!!!

He said that currently, upon leaving Oxford, Minis are transported to Doncaster for final preparation/checking etc before being transported to the dealership. Apparently BMW have been running a six month trial to skip the Doncaster stage, and ship Minis from Oxford direct to the dealer. He said that he has just received confirmation from BMW that from April 1st, all Minis will now be shipped straight to the dealer, which could result in April/May/June deliveries being up to 2 weeks early!!

Now let me stress that he didn't guarantee anything, but he did sound very optimistic!!

Just keep your fingers and toes crossed!!

I had a postcard through today and my initial delivery date was April 17th. I doubt it's of any significance though as mine was sent from the dealer, and not from Oxford...

I'm now hoping for sometime around the 10th since speaking to my dealer (see above)

Hi everybody, i ordered my mini on the 21st Febuary and have been given an expected date of April 20th.

I am pulling my hair out waiting! my test drive seems like a distant memory now.

Another quick question, i've read that the S's have a running in period of around 1250 miles, does anybody know if it the same on the cooper?

Vinnie and Lozz... congratulations...! Welcome to the April thread.. so far people are quiet on here... too quiet.. so hang in there and keep posting and as we start to watch our cars enter the "birth canal" things will pick up..

Lozz.. I am not sure but I would play it safe until 1000 at least!! I do that with every new car regardless but the tough thing is that there is a drive right around the time my car is to be delivered so I hope I can get the miles on quick enough to keep up!!

ALSO: I think as we hit the different stages we should post on here.. that way we know who was built at the same time and if we have problems we can pm each other to see if the other is having the same problem...

Hi, a quick update, my dealer just rang to confirm my options and give me an updated delivery date, April 16th!!
I asked if any had come through earlyer and he said that production was currently running slightly ahead of time, so we may all get our mini's early!!!!

I'm expecting delivery on the 8th April............;)

Ordered on 8th March............1 month delivery ! :D

Maybe it's the domino effect, but I just got a call telling me that I got moved from May production up to April! :D

I think i must have rung my dealer every week since my order was placed! You are incredibly patient, you never know, your mini might be sat a the dealers waiting for you??

Getting mine, just under two weeks early, was expected for beginning of april, going to pick it up today. Can't wait. Still aint thought of a name yet for it :)

Finally, after several months of "lurking" and never contributing I have finally decided to actually join and post :) I put a deposit on my new 2004 MC February 7 and ordered it March 8, 2004. After speaking with the incredibly nice person at ASK MINI I found out that my MC is scheduled to start production the week of March 29th. I hope that it gets built and finishes on April 6, so that my MINI and I can share the same birthday (although 23 years apart :D). Here are my specs:

2004 MC IB/W with White Bonnet Stripes

Panther Black Leatherette Interior
White 16" 5 spoke alloy rims
