Went the day well. (one for you film buffs)
The day was well organised and everybody was friendly and cheerful.
I'm not sure why travelling in a convoy of similar cars puts such a big
smile on your face but it does :D I met the real Basil the dog and a
lovely little chap he is, I hope he gets over his cough soon. Look
forward to meeting you all again, looks like a nice little community
is forming.

So has anyone checked out the dates they are free for a July run? Thinking this will be more Bristol and coastal. Start in bristol then travel over the Suspension down to the coast through Portishead and Clevedon, stop for lunch. Then on to Weston Super Mare, Burnham on Sea to Bridgwater then across to Glastonbury.

Hope this sonds ok. Will need to set a date pretty quick so feedback would be great.

Cheers

Think I better add I have started a seperate thread for the July run where you can multiple vote for days in July. We will then go with the most popular date.

Yes, I hope it didn't seem I was trying to lose you but I was desperately trying to be
halfway between the group ahead and behind me to be some form of link. In the end I
had to abandon one group so as I knew the route I waited in case there was some
poor map readers behind. You'll pleased to hear your car looks very attractive and
distinctive in someone's rear view mirrors :) .

Hi Harpo....

I Like that...

not a lot................

But I like it...

Serioulsly though what does everyone think of the "Severn Wonders New MINI Club".

When shortened it would have to be "The Severns" as the initials would only be one letter away from the SCNMC.

Or alternativly it could the The New MINI Serverns Club. Obviously playing on the old mini 7, as it was launched.

Think you may have hit on a cunning plan there Harpo. Think I owe you a pint on Friday for that!

Anyone else got any thoughts? We can discuss the name at the first pub meet which will be soon. Watch this space.

Paul, i should have said.... in the above post..

SWNMC =

Severn wonders New MINI club
South West New MINI club

I agree Paul its very close to its neighbouring club the SCNM (South Coast New Mini Club).

i think u should go for the SWNMC...

erm i dunno, might upset the classic owners... austin seven and such....

we upset them enough just being here so not going to take that into consideration and if your talking historically then they weren't the first "new Austin 7". The Austin A30 was in 1951! :D :D :D

Proof attatched!

You're bound to upset someone somewhere so stuff 'em! :D

Go with what you feel is appropriate and then design a logo and I'll produce some badges for you like I did for the Middlesex Mini Maniacs!

Might just take you up on that Train mate!

We are going to have a pub night soon to sort it all out! Will do the designs before then I hope.

Thanks for waiting Steve, I have done a fair amount of convoy driving at work. I know how difficult it can be.
I had the route in my head, as my wife was concentrating on feeling sorry for herself (Hangover), than the route. :D

When you first pulled out in Tetbury, I wasn't too sure whether or not you were part of the run. It would have been embarrasing to follow another MINI and end up in the wrong place

Anyway thanks again, we had a great day !!!
