Glad to see you have a sense of humour and didn't take offence to my dig. ;)

I am sure there are many MINI2ers over here who would be happy to show you 'round the slopes if you ever made the trip.

It's a totally different ski experience to Europe or America. I still prefer Lake Tahoe and Whistler, but skiing halfway 'round the world each year can get a bit expensive, so I am glad that we have our own slopes to keep up the practice on between OS trips.

We will be posting pics on our return.

Must admit, the snow cover on the Perisher Blue snow cams is the best I've seen this early in the season. It if it stays as it is, or improves over the next 4 weeks, there are going to be a lot of air happening over the back of Perisher.:D

Would absolutely love to come down but my wife's now 40.5 weeks pregnant who knows how well it'll all pan out over the next few days. Hopefully very well though.

I am just resigned to the fact it'll be NZ next year.

They're touting this year as the best start to any season in 25 years. My stepmother and younger brothers are skiing Perisher today and are having a ball, got about 4 inches last night and it's still snowing today and the snow is very dry which is a good thing for this time of the year. I am very jealous of you all, especially seeing it was me who in the very beggining suggested a MINI ski trip.
:(:( instead of carving up some sweet turns I am bound to visit my sister in law in Perth :(:( I will certainly have to use food and wine whilst I'm in the Margaret River as an emotional crutch to compensate for not being allowed to go skiing. I have however been promised a ski holiday next year, perhaps I'll have to investigate Canada :):):) Have fun guys as I'm sure you will.

Well I am pretty much in the same boat as you Jase. Kel's now six days overdue and, for me, there's no snow this year.

Well perhaps not that bad mate, perhaps more like going home with a 318sport. I am indeed a lover of fine red wines and have been known to be pretty good on the tooth so I should do pretty well in Perth and The Margaret River, but as much as I try and make myself feel good about going to visit family I RATHER BE SKIING :(:(:(:( wah,wah, wah. I hope Kell drops soon mate, I was really looking forward to that head wetting on Saturday night :):)

AussieMINI, maybe you need to take her out and give her a good fright or two in the MINI to start things moving :eek: Or alternatively, just walk her up and down some stairs :)

Danny just called me and said he's on the way home as her water has just broken :eek: I'd be driving Kelli to hospital the Hyundai I reckon. Maybe that's why I have no desire to have children, it's all just too messy until they're at least 20 and out of home :):):) People often say to my wife and I "don't you feel incomplete or like something is missing by not having kids?" to which I usually reply "no, don't you feel you are missing out on something by not drinking nice wine, watching a big TV, driving a nice car and sleeping throughout the night?" Horses for courses I gues. Forecast is for continuing snow for another week, then massive snowfalls (with possible blizzards) for the last the last 2 weeks of July, then clear days with night time falls for at least the first 2 weeks of August. :(

And people question whether there is a God.

well.....the wines in Margaret River are some of the best in the world! and there's some fantastic restaurants in Perth and and the city is so close to the beach :(:( who gives a toss, I'm just trying to make myself feel better about missing perhaps one of the best ski seasons on record!!!!
