I'm not sure whether my car has been blessed or not :(

However, what I can say with some certainty is that a number of my passengers have had religous experiences in the car with me. On several occasions I have heard them cry out exclamations such as...

"God... oh my lord"
"Jeeeeessuuuuus"
"Sweet mother of Mary I'm not ready to ******* die yet!"

And my favourite from an indian friend....

"I have 132 gods and I am praying to them all simultaneously at the moment"

I hope this has helped this discussion :D :D :D :D

Funniest post I have read in a while!!! :p

** makes note to give Swamos some rep lurve on my next rep rounds **

"Bad Pun" -- I think was referring to my line about "Triumph." Mind you that's better than the disciples and their Honda -- after all 'they were in one Accord.' Oh! I believe there is a "Bad Pun" button -- it's called "Reputation." Never mind! I think it's time to look over MINILLA and see if there are any Godly messages :D :wone:

John 3-16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

WOW, I didn't think I'd get so many responses from fellow minians. Some serious, some silly. I don't mind that someone scribbled on my mini, christian, islamic, rastaferian, there exist people from all walks of life that love minis.. It would be ironic if some guy named John assembled that part on March 16th, highly unlikely. Maybe others have seen the guy from Monday night football that always managed to get his 3:16 sign on TV :D .

Now if I could just wear my miter while driving, it would make the vatican proud! ;)

I keep thinking of In & Out burgers. They're the only mainstream (if you count only in what CA, NV and AZ?) product I know that likes to hide bible verses in places they don't expect you to look... (like on the bottom crimp of a paper cup) Maybe some employee was visiting in California or watching pulp ficton or something.

Though I somehow tend to think some guy named john did it on march 16th.

http://www.snopes.com/business/alliance/inandout.asp In n out's low-key proselytizing (and relevant to everyone else, since they actually reference John 3:16)

Ironically, the most popular bumper sticker in So Cal is the modified version of In & out's:

IN & OUT
BURGER

That's really great - and one of the better passages one can choose. You are officially guaranteed "spirited" motoring!

Alaska Airlines does the same offensive thing as In & Out. I have complained several times to their customer service for putting Psalms in the lunch. Of course flying with them you may need all the help you can get.

And that miter saw might help you repair the frame on a Morgan, but not much wood on a MINI.

Speaking of getting all the help you can get: I never thought I would thank airport security, but Today at Oakland Int'l Airport an Aloha Airline pilot was arrested at the security checkpoint............for being 4 times over the legal limit as he was getting ready to fly a full load to Honolulu. Nothing like flushing a 150K job down the potty. I don't think there is a prayer that guy could say to get his career back. I sure hope it was worth it.

I was thinking it would help make the mitre hat fit inside the MINI. :p

Wow, I never heard that one about In & Out before. I always stop by for a Double-Double when I'm in LA. Really good fries too. Great, now I'm hungry.

They got rid of those years ago because of that. Now it's a picture of a burger with In & out above it.

I'm assuming this is a company not a government airline, in which case they have the right to print whatever they want on there property. If you don't like it you have the option of flying with someone else. If a lot of people were offended and didn't fly with them they would then have to decide if their religious beliefs were worth losing money for. That is how capitalism is supposed to work.

This is an example of a principle called the tyranny of the majority. As long as enough customers don't mind (or even better, like it), then the rest can go :bad::bad::bad::bad: themselves. And you're right, that's how capitalism is supposed to work.

And the more TV we watch, the better it works.
