Better start a count off so we will know who are available on which dates.

If we plan to initially align with the Euro Club, we need to finalize our logo and ID too so we can avail of sponsors offers.

So maybe we can call an EB with a Members' Meet and strive for max attendance so we can get organized na.

Eric is correct, let's get the basic club issues out of the way. I suggest you call a meeting, purely to address these issues. It should not be together with an EB at eastwood where discussions would be impossible. Nothwithstanding that people would be mingling around, and socials with the Euro members is a must. Organization to come to one stand on the concerns that have been mentioned by Eric.

macky, Rolly is down with a flu, expect some delay in delivery. the order has been placed na.

Just my .02 cents.

ey everyone, wuz just reading a thread on tire pressures in the Wheel & Tyres sections. seems that most, if not all, have 32psi or more in their tires. just curious...what psi do you guys have in your tires? i have 30 in all 4 corners of my Mini now (non-runflats). some Mini owners put higher psi in the rear..hmm...whatya think? will try putting 32psi in all tires tomorrow, see what the effects are :D might even help with my low gas mileage. hehehe!

Macky,

Lowering springs and comfort are definetely not in the same page. When I first installed my springs, it felt good, the smaller bumps on the road seemed to be absorbed my the suspension better, but the big ones felt as how it should---big! But I realized that my wheel pressure was down to 26psi, and that was the reason why the car felt more comfortable. When I pumped it back up to 30 the ride was immediately worse than stock. So I went back down to 28 to get a compromise. I know I should be running 30 but hindi ko lang talaga matiis. I might consider changing my shocks again....koni adjusatables or h&r's, but maybe in the future. In other countries they can afford to use higher tire pressures because they have better roads, here its "as low as you can go" :D

We use 32 F & 34 R psi for the MC CVT, on 16" run flats (forgot the size).
36 F & 38 R psi for the 5er, on 18" wheels, 245/40 F & 265/35 R.
32 F & 30 R psi on the GTV, 16" wheels.

We find more air better, feels harsh but I personally find more confidence in them especially on bad roads.

(UPDATE) FORMER president Corazon Aquino has called on President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on Friday to make the "supreme sacrifice" and resign from her post.

In a televised press conference, Aquino said Arroyo's resignation is the only way for the country to recover from its "tumultuous state."

"I ask the President in all humility, to make this supreme sacrifice to spare our country from violence," she said in a televised press conference.

haaay...pati si tita cory sumali na sa nagpapatalsik kay tita glo

should i be worried...or glad...that i'm staying in crame? :D the other night, there were around 12 police (some with high-caliber guns) at the main gate, asking where i was going. takot ako :D good thing the PNP's still loyal to tita glo :D a friend of my gf said...the other night, she & her family went to a "safe place" coz they heard that the opposition was up to something...tsk tsk.

this thread has been dead for 2 days...any news from you guys?

regarding tire pressure, i'm running 32psi in all 4 tires now. seems to be ok.

i was surfing ebay phils a while ago...came across the super stormer gas saver... check this out (but i'm sure you guys have seen this already)

****************************

Install the SUPER STORM Fuel Saver fuel saving device in the air-intake of your vehicle for better gas mileage and increased horsepower!

All of our SUPER STORM FUEL SAVER units have a 30 days Money Back Guarantee to give you ample time to realize your fuel savings.

Save Up To 28% On Fuel

Increase Horsepower Up To 13 more hp

Easy to install - Takes Less Than 5 Minutes

100% 30 days Money Back Guarantee

Fits Virtually All Makes And Models Of Cars And Trucks - GAS or DIESEL

Works On Carburated And Fuel Injected Engines

This is the Original & Authentic SuperStorm Fuel Saver. Do not be fooled by imitation units. If it doesn't say Super Storm Fuel Saver on the Item then it is a knock-off.

The Super Storm Fuel Saver is an automotive air channeling tool that creates a swirling air motion, allowing the air to move faster and more efficiently by continuously whirling air around corners and bends.

Imagine a mini-tornado on its side moving through the intakes of your automobile. It causes better fuel atomization, resulting in an increase of gas mileage anywhere from 7 to 28%. These figures are confirmed by road testing. And I myself tested it on 3 of my cars. An 04 Xtrail, an 05 BMW, and a 92 Land Cruiser 4.2L gas engine. All became quieter, more responsive and i extended my fuel consumption to 1 - 1.5 km/L.(20%)

Nissan and Honda are already purchasing 10 to 20 units a day testing it on their units. Nissan reported a 20% fuel saving while Honda reported 10%.

The SUPER STORM Fuel Saver is easy to install; 2-5 minutes usually, requires no maintenance and is an affordable addition to most passenger cars, SUVs, AUVs, Trucks and BUSSES!!!

100% Money Back Guarantee. I myself did not believe it but when i had it installed i felt the power and kick with my engines. My Xtrail and BMW became smoother and engine quieter. I also noticed that Stutter in my engine when i let go of my clutch was gone specially when i'm climbing a slope. My Cruiser became more responsive and i added at least 1km/L in my usual fuel consumption.

F R E E I N S T A L L ! ! !

100% Imported from KOREA. Dont be fooled by LOCAL immitations. We have the air chamber to show you how it works!!!

Free Testing if what you got is a GENUINE or FAKE.

**************************

check out the pic below. with all the fuel saving devices in the market now...don't ya think someone should do an independent test of all devices to know which one REALLY works? syempre, i'm curious because my mini is still in the 7km/L range...not that i'm planning to install a fuel saving device on my Mini... :D

ey guys, finally decided to sell my precious rims, aside from the jarring ride, switching to smaller & lighter wheels might help bump up my Mini's MPG. i can feel my Mini huffing & puffing w/ the sound setup & 17" wheels. hehehe. anyone interested?

brand is STARFORM BASEL (or vice versa, can't remember which is the brand name & model name :D), got them from Autoplus. Gotta be honest, i got them for P49,000 with dunlop LM702 tires (215/40/17). the tires still have 95% or so (1 month old). rims are in good to excellent condition, ok pa rin :D

the original price of the mags is P44,000 & the tires cost P24,000. i got the mags on sale. if ya'll know anyone interested, let me know (don't tell them though that i got them on sale. hahaha!)

what wheels am i gonna put on my mini? well...still deciding, but i'm looking for any kind of aftermarket wheel (basta branded :D). any suggestions?

Macky,

Suggest you stay within the prescribed size na lang, 16". If you fancy the Run Flats which is OEM for CVT, we have a contact at Good Year. P15,000 a piece.

In fact, they offered to give us a technical briefing on Run Flat tires if we can arrange a meet with so many people attending - maybe in one Euro-MINI combined meet. They are keen on this as the only size they keep on stock are for MINIs, 195 55 16, so tayo lang ang market for now.....

Trish, sama na. Am sure you and Pachichay will be entertained by Macky's ride, hanep sa sounds....

Macky,

I'd suggest, if you don't want to remove any part of your sound system, go for a wheel and tire setup that is smaller than your stock tires. So if your stock tires are 195 55 R16, move to a smaller tire - 195 45 R16. I'm not sure about the availability of that size, you'd have to ask around what the next smaller size is for your stock tire, or maybe two sizes smaller. This way your gearing would be more for acceleration than top speed, in a sense making your car feel more powerful. Doing this will cause an error on the reading of your speedometer, but since we don't have speed limits here, who cares. :p You'll just have to live with the big gap between your tires and the fender flares, but if you get your car dropped then it won't look as bad. I'd also suggest buying a pair of light wheels as this affects acceleration alot too.

damn...they're THAT expensive? :(

my stock rims are the R82 ones (8 spoke), stock tire size 175/65/15. was thinking for a while to get wider tires & use the stock rims but changed my mind. been looking at a couple of lightweight aftermarket 15" & 16" rims. hmm...:D i'm choosing between 15" rims with 215/50 tires or 16" rims with 215/50. hmm...

what kind of gas do you fill your Mini up with? today, i tried Petron's Xtra Unleaded (i usually put XCS in my Mini). after seeing the commercial & news article about the red Honda Jazz driven by Poch Ramirez (tama ba?) getting 1,114kms on a single tank of Petron's Xtra Unleaded (35kms/L!!!), i was a bit skeptical (it was mostly highway driving, diba?). well anywayz, my gas level was a hair above the red line/light so i filled up my Mini with 10 liters of Xtra Unleaded. now, i've driven over 70 kms (mixed driving, no change of style of driving), the gas level is around 1/8 (red light on again but in between red line/light & 1/4 level), think i can go another 30 or so until i reach a hair above the red line/light. with 20 liters of XCS, i usually get 140-150kms (mixed driving, til red line/light). is it just me or is Xtra Unleaded "better"? give it a try :D

Tryusing this link: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalcold.html

It will show you what the difference is of your stock tire size and your chosen new tire size. I suggest going down to 215/45 or even 215/40 to get a smaller tire which will can help improve your mileage. By the way, going to a wider tire will increase the wheel's total weight. So whatever you lost using a lightweight wheel, you'll gain back when using a wider tire.

John,
What is the widest ba we can go without rubbing or extending the fenders?
Are 215 50 16s just right or we can go for 225s?
I plan to use wider tires din when I use up my stock tires even for just the rear, sana without having to change rims. From 195 to maybe 205 lang or at most 215.
