What's going on guys? How often do you guys have your meets? I'm planning a trip over there this coming June. I know its a long ways off but I guess its always good to know. I finally got my MCS in last week, I love it! I'll try to post some pictures of it later on today.

We just thought we can maybe collect some spares, like we intend to get an auxilliary fan as a spare, should the inevitable happen. Derick can keep a working spare alternator...

I like your idea of having our own network of spare parts...:) All we need are the problematic items, like PS fan, altrenator/IC, pulley's, etc. Maybe we can even stock some consumable items like filters and pads. I for one, have a brand new air filter for the stock S airbox that I don't think I'll be using. I also have a new stock belt lying around here somewhere.

Without your altrnator, me and ed would be buying a new once at the risk of not knowing if it's going to solve our problem or not. So thanks a lot for lending us your spare!:biggrin:

What do you think of Pier 1 at Ortigas Home Depot Town Center complex? They have plenty of good parking right in front.

The other option is El Pueblo in Ortigas Center - there is Pasto resto there, Racks, etc. Also good parking in front.

Finally proved the US$26 OW (US$52 roundtrip) airfare to Singapore to be good and true.
Add US$53 for add-on taxes, P1620 travel tax, P350 Clark Terminal Fee, and you're off. (Total around P7,535 + bus fare MNL to Clark 400).
They use Airbus 320-200 (3x3 config), nice and roomy.

Hello all!

Well its been a while since I posted in the forum though Ive donemy best to keep up with the thread. MINI od Pleasanton finally called after 67 mos of wait to inform me Im able to configure my MINI S . I opted for a month to decide and after a month of gut wrenching, drum roll... Im leaning towards keeping my bimmer. I was first face with the same dilemmna in 2002 when I had trhe choice bet. a cooper and a 3 series coupe. I could have saved myself 20K w the cooper since Cooper S was not available in the US then and still opted for the 3 coupe. I like the Cooper S and the MCSa was definitely a force to recon with though subjective as it is...if I were to quote from a photographer the coupe is just photogenic from all angles. I n the end thoufh the decision was made by one aspect...ultimate driving machine.Yes it would cost me more to maintan perhaps but perfection does not come cheap...perhaps if monetary issues allows me to afford a MINI in the future I would bit given I had to make a choice of one or the other and not have a second chance... I'll stay planted in my 3 series. If there is anything I can find for you guys here in the US (prices,specs etc) dont hesitate... Mini on!

6 mos of wait and 3 mos for delivery for a total of 9 mos.

it's been a while since i last posted. i'm still in baguio, will be going down to manila tomorrow afternoon but going up again on the 4th, may mga aasikasuhin lang den palamig ulit dito sa baguio :D

so did any of you guys get any Mini related stuff for the holidays? my kuya gave me a Mini shirt from R Options (like the shirts in greenhills) :D my nephew on the other hand got a CR/W MC remote controlled car from my parents! hehehe! i'll post pix of the RC next time. it's got the coolest options (well, for me that is. i'm such a dork):

1. a start button (when you push it, the Mini shakes like it's actually starting & makes a cranking sound) :D

2. a horn button :D

3. a button to turn on the headlights & taillights (and might i add...the headlights are pure-white LEDs. o diba? naka-HID :D )

4. it makes a tire-squealing sound when you suddenly put it in reverse when going forward & vice versa :D

5. when you go in reverse, the tail lights flash :D

think my parents got it for less than P1000 in toy kingdom. i play with it more than my nephew does :D hehehe! i'm also thinking of getting one for myself. i miss my Mini! i haven't used my Mini for 2 weeks now, i'll be taking it around for a much needed spin when i get back.

any of you guys wanna meet up for a meal/coffee/drinks on the night of the 3rd? :D
