: My one complaint...

The one thing that I don't like about my new MCS is the damned DSC toggle switch, and it being right next to the window control. Every damned time I go to roll down the window I end up turning off the DSC. This seems a little dangerous to me. I've thought about painting a little nob on top of it with some clear nail polish so I can tell its the DSC by feel. What would be really cool would be a cover for the switch, like the cover for a button you see in crazy nuke-launching movies. I mean, they could have at least put the DSC nob in the middle, so you end up locking the doors or something instead of turning of the DSC when you miss the window control.

I've only had my MINI for a few weeks, and already I've switched off the DSC three or four times.

Had Buttons for four weeks now, and I haven't had this problem. I just remember that the windows are the outermost ones. Hope this helps!

I never had this problem... I just do a quick glance over when my hand reaches so far... and then just hit the correct toggle switch.

I've never had this problem either.

Could be because I don't have DSC though, and just a blank there! :p

I'll do a deal with you though... Rip off the toggle switch when DSC is on, then you'll never be able to toggle it off. Send me the toggle switch, and I won't have a 'blank' anymore. Solves both our problems!

Seems fair to me :D

I would understand the problem for a right-hand-drive car, but using your right hand for the left side of the toggle switch bar is quite easy. Place your thumb on the outside of the first plastic bail, then place your forefinger above the first switch (window) while controlling the correct position by only touching the DSC switch with your middelfinger.

Does it work?

Don't have a problem with the DCS switch (I don't have one ;) ) but I have swiched on the Front Fogs when trying to roll the windows down/up a number of times. Person driving infront of must think I'm an idiot flashing my lights on and off :p

I'm gonna try a clear rubber band today, see if that helps. I would really like some sort of big red DANGER cover for the switch, it would be functional and cool looking!

In other cars you have to hold down the switch for around 5 seconds... so something like that would help.
