ALSO you can buy a raffle ticket for a MINI COOPER. This raffle is to raise funds for Hearthstone School in Sperryville. Tickets for the MINI COOPER are $100 and only 500 tickets will be sold. The winning ticket will be drawn in October (or before if all tickets are sold.) Because of the nature of Hearthstone School the $100 purchase price of the ticket is TAX deductible (except for the winner of the car!) You do NOT have to pay the entry fee for the festival in order to buy a raffle ticket, enjoy Sunnyside Farms burgers at the newly remodelled BURGER BARN, pick your own strawberries or to shop in the REST STOP. The "KICK OFF" day for this went great -- Hearthstone School sold close to 30 tickets -- on the first day! The plan is to continue to sell through the Summer. I have no doubt the tickets will sell. The car that they have for display is on loan from the dealership (IB/W Cooper S with Bonnet stripes). I believe that the winner will have the opportunity to spec the car the way he/she wants. Anyway if anyone wants the opportunity to buy a ticket (tax deductible) for the 1/500 chance of winning I will put you in touch with the organizers. I'm told that they are developing a specific website for ticket sales but that it's not ready yet. I did get a great dealership poster STOP, DROP and DROOL and the ITALIAN JOB (with the cars) for giving them a little help with publicity! Post if you're interested in a ticket purchase. :wone:
