Looks like first batch worked ok

1) NEC Parking. ( till it got full, rest had to go to another carpark, Too many mini's) :D


2) Mini2 gathering on set of the Mini Show. (Organizers gave permission to take photo's on the set, with the cars and the drivers. Think Soggy twisted somebodys arm. Nice one Soggy)

3) Some of the Mini2 Crew that looked after us in the VIP lounge. :cool:

Number Plates?

At the get together today, there were some folk with Number Plates, with the Mini Logo on them.

Think they said they were mail order from Irish Company.

Anyone point me in the right area please.

Its quite easy. Just done it myself for first time :D

As long as the file size is below 650 x 1000, you can add them to your posting.

At the bottom of where you type your message, is a button called Manage Attachments.
If you click that button, you can then browse for the file, then hit upload button, JD.

You can add a few at a time. Think there is a max number, but not sure how many.

I reduced mine in Paint. In there, open your picture, in image, select stretch/skew.
Put 50% in first box, 50% in second box, hit enter. pic will reduce if too small click on edit then undo. try again with a LARGER %. Then save as, and give it a name you know.

The Mini Live display was excellent, it made the visit to the other stands quite mundane as i was expecting some burning rubber:p Left early as my dad needed to get back.:(

Thanks to all the organisers who made the day such a success - all those Minis - what a fantastic sight!

thanks for all the kind words folks, it was a blast seeing all those minis & people at Hams Hall. Thanks to Chris for braving the megaphone & to all who helped hand out screen passes & stickers. I was really pleased to see that all the security staff at the NEC knew we were coming & where to send us (even if trying to park us was a bit chaotic!) I think we made more of a stir than a lot of the stands inside the show.

It was great to get the VIP treatment at the mini open air show & be invited out onto the arena to have our photos taken with Russ & the rest of the crew - big thanks to whoever got that organised, really made the day for me. I think we spent at least the first hour on the mini stand. A big surprise on the mini stand was the two-tone paint option being displayed for the first time. Looked quite trick but i'm not sure if i'd part with over £3.5k for it - details & pics on this thread - http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthread.php?p=901582#post901582

Also for Black Eye Purple fans - all i can say is that it doesn't like flash photography. none of the pictures i've seen so far go anywhere near showing how purple this colour really is.

They came round a roundabout to find themselfs at the head of a convoy :eek:


He panicked and decided to go round the next roundabout to lose the convoy, but..............................................y ou guessed it .........................

Hello! My first meet and it was FANTASTIC! Had a wonderful day, the sight of the mini's was amazing and makes me smile everytime i think of it. I took a few photos but they are not wonderful cos i was driving at the time and didn't want to ruin the day by smacking into the back of someone! Was nice to meet a few people, i came over all shy so apologies - i.e Jasonfields, who i parked next to and never spoke to once! Will upload pics later, thanks to Hat, MB, Soggy and anyone else who helped... was brilliantly organised :D

I didn't get lost on the way to the NEC, but I was part of the convoy that got lost at the NEC. We probably visited all carparks there!

Yeah thanks Paul, It was myself and Trainman that got hurt the worst but luckily all was OK thanks to the most fantastic MINI2 friendship among members.

Just wanna say a special thanks to Harpo and Trainman for getting me to a car valeting centre that was open at 9am on a Sunday morning in Banbury, thanks to Tony*t3 (SCNM) for supplying the water and sponge that pretty much saved the whole paintwork on my passenger side (Sorry, think I owe you a sponge) and also thanks to all in the convoy for stopping on the side of a busy motorway and then again at the next junction to help me sort out the mess!!
