It sounds completely reasonable. I checked WW out of curioosity and the Ind. is due in to NY on 9/2. That leaves a week to get through the VPC and to the dealer. Once it it gets to be 9/2 start calling your MA - they will have updated info then as to you expected delivery date. Good luck! :D speed_racer Aug 27th, 2004, 10:53 AM Well, I found out from the MA yesterday that my expected date in to the dealer is now 8/30. But it could reasonably be anywhere from Mon 8/30 to Saturday 9/4 as they have 40  Minis coming in on two or three trucks. So I am still in the land of the unknown. :D
Oh, and I think I may have my existing car sold - for what I'm asking no less! It'll be great if it all comes together at the same time and I have enough money to pay my existing lien and pay sales tax on the new Mini! *keeping fingers crossed* :D Appy Aug 27th, 2004, 12:18 PM Hi Everyone,
Some good news. I got a call yesterday from my MINI Dealer and they said my MINI "APPY" is on a truck and due to arrive today or tommorow, so I should have her by tuesday.
My MINI was on the Patriot that arrived in Charleston on the 23rd of this month, so if yours was on the same ship they are moving pretty fast out of the VPC.
;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) joeyjoe9 Aug 27th, 2004, 01:13 PM Appy,
Mine was aboard the Patriot as well and my estimated delivery according to owners lounge has been updated to be 8/29, which is sunday. unfortunately, the dealer is closed on sunday. doh! I will ring the dealer today to see if I can pick up early. 2005LY Aug 27th, 2004, 01:23 PM My MINI was on the Patriot that arrived in Charleston on the 23rd of this month, so if yours was on the same ship they are moving pretty fast out of the VPC.
I'm glad to hear that someone else thinks things are moving fast for the Patriot shipmates. I thought I was being a little over anxious and very skeptical of my EDD of 8-29.
Now, my 'Labor Day weekend pickup' dream will probably be a reality! Awesome! John in Vancouver Aug 27th, 2004, 02:45 PM A case? What do you do, lawyer?
-mike
Not a lawyer. I'm a forensic scientist for the Medical Examiner Division of the Oregon State Police. John in Vancouver Aug 27th, 2004, 02:48 PM I'm on the Freedom too!!
Have you been tracking it??
Use http://www.sailwx.info....go under "ship search", then "find specific ship by callsign"
Freedom's call sign is wdb5483...Right now it's N43, W21, right in the middle of the Atlantic
MadisonMini,
Thanks for the tracking info. I shall chart its progress across the pond. I haven't heard of any more big storms on the east coast, so it should be a straight shot. :p
Thanks,
John joeyjoe9 Aug 27th, 2004, 02:53 PM Classic just told me they received a shipment of 4 MINIs today, unfortunately mine wasn't one of them.
The wait continues... asaulo1 Aug 27th, 2004, 03:22 PM fs-mini, mlebeau - do you guys know if any of those are ours? I just emailed Julie to ask her... hopefully, she sends some pics our way..... it would be a nice end to a crappy week (work and all that stuff)...... at least, I can dream of my baby being there already... ready to be loaded on the truck on the way to Daddy ;) mlebeau Aug 27th, 2004, 03:56 PM No time to stay and chat, but MY CAR IS AT THE DEALER! Julie sent me pics and everything, and it looks AWESOME! :D I will post pics and stuff later today, gotta help my girlfriend as she gets her wisdom teeth pulled today so I have some other obligations first. :)

Well, knowing how awful my experience was when I had my wisdom teeth pulled, you'll be busy for a while! But when you get a chance post your piccies so we can all see. Hope the gf isn't in too much pain and heals quickly. :( mlebeau Aug 27th, 2004, 04:56 PM Man, I'm so excited I had to bring my laptop and find some wireless at the oral surgeon's office while I wait for my gf to be done with her surgery. :) I'm attempting to get the pics from my webmail now and post them, hehe. speed_racer, thanks for the kind words, it looks like she has about the least complex case possible so hopefully she'll do alright through all of it. Alfredo, no Julie didn't say who else was there. I'll take a second look at the pics she sent to see if there's any PW/B cars though. ;)
Expect pics in a few min.
-mike mlebeau Aug 27th, 2004, 05:10 PM Here are the pics! All 3 pictures that Julie sent me of my new baby!
Gallery: http://www.mini2.com/gallery/personal/gallery_19677.html asaulo1 Aug 27th, 2004, 05:16 PM WOW!!! That's great.... I guess I can't see mine in the pics but I am keeping my fingers crossed..... there's a Chili Red one there... anyone has that? That's a great looking car..... Congrats, Mike.... fs-mini Aug 27th, 2004, 05:29 PM Hay Mike, congrats, finally you can see your car. Hope I can see mine in the next weekend. Can't wait to see them both in person. :D mlebeau Aug 27th, 2004, 06:56 PM Thanks guys! Yeah it was thrilling to wake up to those pictures. :) I knew it would be like this, I've seen other HB/B cars but for some reason your own always looks better. :) Joey, sorry your car wasn't in the shipment. I hope you'll be able to get some pics soon! :D
-mike joeyjoe9 Aug 27th, 2004, 07:18 PM I'm hanging in there, Mike. I asked Classic if they receive more than one shipment a day and they said not usually. Sportty Aug 27th, 2004, 07:29 PM Congrats on the first pics, Mike. Your baby looks great! :D mlebeau Aug 27th, 2004, 08:29 PM Thanks Sportty! :D
-mike asaulo1 Aug 27th, 2004, 08:34 PM well, got an email from Julie at Classic and alas, mine wasn't in the same group that got delivered this morning with Mike's car.... oh well... the wait continues...... mlebeau Aug 27th, 2004, 08:55 PM Sorry to hear it Alfredo, but you've got to be there soon! Besides, we're all going out the same time anyway, so nothing to worry about. :)
-mike fs-mini Aug 27th, 2004, 09:20 PM Mike, may be you can start "cut & paste"ing your own image into your baby in this pic ...

Haha, yeah, I work with a bunch of designers who I'm sure would gladly photoshop me into that picture... but I think I'll try to hold off. ;) hehe..
-mike MountainGal Aug 28th, 2004, 03:20 AM Help me out folks! The WW site shows that Frieda's VIN is definitely on the Freedom, and shows that the Freedom left Southampton on 8/24, due to arrive in Charleston on 9/3. However, the Port of Charleston schedule of the next 30 day arrivals does NOT show the Freedom. What does this mean????? HELP!!! -   - John in Vancouver Aug 28th, 2004, 03:55 AM Help me out folks! I noticed the same thing when I went to the Charleston web site. I hope it is just an oversight  mlebeau Aug 28th, 2004, 04:13 AM I recall that happening to someone else as well. Their ship only showed up on the Port of Charleston site a few days before it was due to arrive. If you've gotten the data elsewhere that it's due on the 3rd, I think you can safely trust that. :)
-mike Max Mini Aug 28th, 2004, 05:32 AM For those tracking, I ordered my red MCS July 10, went into production Aug 12, awaited transport Aug 22, and now, Aug 27, en route! Yea! Looks pretty much on average queue for a 2 month delivery... I try not to get too excited about these things, but, guess I should now try to figure out what boat we're on?
Anyone else just go from awaiting transport to en route to East Coast (NYC likely)? We can chant "no hurricanes this week!" together.
Max
