Well, my car was build Aug 18 and has been in this country since Sep 3 and my dealer still has no idea where it is.

They received 10 new Mini's today and mine wasn't one of them!! He could not give me an answer on what's taking so long.

I told him today if my car is not ready to be picked up at the dealer by this Saturday, the whole deal is off.

So we'll see...the countdown to Saturday starts now.

It looks like I may be the first of the group to get my car. I stopped by the dealer tonight and sitting out front waiting for me was my car. I have an appt at noon to take him home... I will post pictures later on tomorrow. Best of luck in getting your cars!

Right-on !! Today, we will be seeing two new sets of pics (from you, Andy, and Alfredo) in this thread. Happens both of you are picking up the cars about noon time too, but Andy you're in Colorado, so one hour earlier than Alfredo. ;)

After couple of days, your update from the dealer is still the same, I'm feeling very sorry for you. :( 18 days in VPC, that is really unbearable. If the car is still at the VPC, did you call ASKMINI and were they able to help in any way?

So, Mitch will deliver to you company between 10 and 12? So, at least you can stay inside and work while waiting. Tomorrow, if it worked out as planned for the delivery, we will be waiting at an empty field, if Mitch did not come on time. So, did he say he will call before he comes?

i did call askmini and they couldn't help.

talked with my dealer today, my car is supposedly on a truck for delivery now.

he told me the story about the oil and the delay at the VPC was it had to be sent from Germany. :confused:

Alfredo I say if he doesn't call by 11:45, I would give him a ring. :)

mike & frankie - I called Mitch and got his voicemail.... I left him a message to call me back... he would need to call me since he doesn't have directions to my office..... maybe he's currently unloading that PS MC in North Hollywood..... he said that was his 1st stop... so let's hope he's on schedule so he can get to you by nighfall...... cross your fingers.... :)

What?! Mitch does not know the direction yet? Hmm... I doubt that he can make it between 10 and 12 then. Is your office close to N.Hollywood? Otherwise, you may need to count in those traffic jam time. So PS is the 1st stop, you're the 2nd, and he told me there are 3 cars to delivery in the LA area, so possibly meaning one more after you. I don't really think he can make it tonight, BTW I never thought he can make it tonight, just hope he can make it on time tomorrow early in the morning for us, so I can pick up and go to a meeting at 11am. :)

frankie - North Hollywood is only about 20 mins. from me so that shouldn't be a big deal..... just as long as I get it today is okay by me... I already had someone from work pick me up at my house this morning so essentially the car has to come.... if not, I have to hitch a ride home again..... i guess whether it's days, weeks or hours its all the same... waiting sucks!!!!

Nope... I called him and he said he was on his way to Moorpark to drop off another car, then to NH to drop off the PS MC.... he said he was running about 2 hours behind schedule.... he said he will call me as soon as he drops off the PS MC.... I doubt it if he's only 2 hours behind since Moorpark is about an hour and a half away from NH..... probably won't see him til later this afternoon at the earliest...... hopefully, he shows up... if not, I guess I have to call the wife to pick me up from work since my coworkers will be gone by the time he's supposed to be here.....

Just called Mitch, as he instructed me on Monday, he said he just finished drop-off the first car, so he has two more to go, as Alfredo mentioned. I asked whether he can make it for tomorrow early hour like 8am, he said he doesn't know yet. He possibly also have a pick up at Santa Barbara, so I need to call him in the evening to confirm, he said. So Mike, definitely not gonna happen tonight !! :)

If he has a pickup in Santa Barbara all I can say is he damn well better do it tonight and get us our cars tomorrow morning. Not at all concerned about tonight, I wasn't thinking it was a possibility either.

Mike - no word yet... maybe I'll be putting in some overtime tonight since Mitch will be here (hopefully) after everyone's gone..... let's hope that that's not the case....... I hope he didn't go to Santa Barbabra first.....

My car is on the truck! Now if only it can get to SF before Friday morning ... otherwise I have to wait until Monday for the dealer to clean and prep it! (Wish me luck gang!)

update.... talked to Mitch about an hour ago and he said that he was still on his way to deliver the PS MC in NH.... he was about half an hour away from NH... so figure another couple of hours after that before he even crests the hill to get to me..... he did guarantee me that he will be here today no matter what time since I told him I don't have a ride home.... :) let's hope he's a man of his word...

Hrm.. 2 hours behind, sure. ;) Well at least you're definitely getting the car tomorrow, but our chances of getting ours tomorrow morning are looking slimmer! I might call later to see when he expects to get into the Bay Area and if Frankie and I are first on his list. :)

Man, he still not yet delivered the PS?! It may take longer then Alfredo, assuming he is now stuck on the freeway at 4:xxpm Wednesday in LA to make deliver to NH, then, stuck on freeway again to get to your place ... :(

For ours, based on what I see from your case today, I don't think he will deliver to us at 8am, as I wish. However, if he done delivering all the cars in LA today, and start driving up here, it may take him less than 8 hours (can be faster in night time, less traffic) to get here, if he does not sleep, he will make it in the morning. :(

If he can't make it in the morning, guess I need to cut my evening class, since I can't get out from work in the day time due to all those meetings I push to tomorrow to make room for the original delivery time of Tues.

Mike, if you really can't wait and he got here earlier tomorrow, go ahead, we do a separate pick up then. :(

okay... since we're "hijacking" the thread anyway :)
just got off the phone with Mitch and he is on his way to me... he's currently on I-5 and is about 45 mins. away (rush hour traffic).... I gave him directions and he said he will call once he gets in the vicinity..... getting excited now!!!!!

Haven't had much time to photograph my new MINI, but I snapped off a few poor photos today. I hope to get some ones this weekend with better lighting and backdrops. Hang in there for your car! It's worth the wait!

I can't believe you've had your car for nearly a week... luck of the draw, I guess...

It looks really good with the 1/2 shadow and the palo verdes in the background!!
