I went into Exeter today and saw 5 MINIs within a couple of minutes of each other - all parked so no waves but lots of :D on my behalf! Had a great flash ;) from a Dark Silver MCS last night...it's great when someone else beats me to it, lol. Just wish I could convince the female driver of Dark Silver/Black MCS to wave...she's making me so   . Doesn't she know it's rude to ignore people :o

Bet you wind up following one in your new MINI anyway. They seem to have a natural tendancy to seek each other out and stick together. :D You'll see...

I have got to share my delight!!! I saw him coming....the blue convertable, top down and so I told my son to brace himsefl...I was gonna wave! So I did and the chappy gave me the most wonderful, proudest smile I think I have ever seen from a Mini owner!!! It was about 7.00pm on Wood Street, Barnet so if you are a member here.....look out for me!!! I flash anyone and everyone!! I then went on to spot a lady driver in a black convertable...she smiled, but not as good as the first guy! Followed by no less than 7 minis all owned by "non flashing, smiling or waving" folk....miseries!

My son laughed so much cos it made my day.....how very sad am !! Not a word Wylie!!

Here's a tip... If you see another Mini whilst driving through Bedford, don't waste your energy waving or flashing. I drove past not one, not two, not three or even four, but five Mini's yesterday. No acknowledgement at all  , just one miserable driver's face after another.

Then again, if I lived in Bedford I'd probably be the same  :p ;) :D

I flash and get a 60% hit rate around Winchester, and am starting to recognise those who will and those who won't. Those that won't get a flash anyway :p
Hey there - I was just browsing the forums. I'm afraid I defected to the States, but I'm from Winchester! How's it going over there? I have a MINI over here, of course!!

Small world, or should I say MINI world :D

Winchester now the home of mini rentals in the UK, so quite a few of us about!

Had to stop myself from waving at another mini whilst walking yesterday, half raised my hand before I realised what I was doing and carried on to the old "I'm just scratching my head". Sheesh!

Now that's funny!! I've almost waved whilst sitting in someone else's (non-MINI) car. And the other day I had a hire car (Mazda - ugh!) as the fan for my power steering was being fixed (anyone else had that problem in the UK?) - and almost waved to other MINIs.... force of habit.

My boss was with me in the car the other day, and no-one waved back at me - as soon as he was out of the car, everyone started waving again. Mind you, he's a but of a [snip! - censored for job security purposes].
