Me living in England obviously makes me a owner of a manual mini as i thort this is what made the minis fun, i cant see how an automatic could be anywhere near as much fun! has anyone drove both and what are peeps opinions? :)

We house a CVT Cooper (2003) and a Cooper S (Manual 2004) and I can tell you the CVT is a blast with automatic, sports drive and clutchless manual! I love it! It's every bit as much fun as the manual and sometimes more! :wone:

All my favorite cars have been manuals. 6 speed is the way to go!

With the CVT you get 6 steptronic gears.......like manual except you have no clutch. Equally as fun and no sore left leg when in traffic jams! I love the CVT, its more fun than a normal automatic by far.

...but the clutch is the fun bit, isn't it? (n.b. i haven't driven a cvt so i don't claim to know how fun it is.)

I have to say its f...a...s...t even though it is an auto....those steptronice gears are brill!

i agree with you. I learned on, and drove autos till i got my mini...now i cant see driving bing as much fun with and auto!!!
