Many years ago that was true, alas now they are $1.29 or so each. Wednesday 4/$4.00.

Back in the mid Sixties we would go there on Wednesdays, 12 for a dollar. Those were the days.

Burgers are at $1.85, but there's not much meat in them things.

You're going to get a PM shortly.......

Which reminds me, why aren't there any White Castles in the northeast? C'mon WC, why you holdin' out? Need to feed the monthy 4am WC cravings.

Used to be, there was one on the corner of Main and Chandler in Worcester a long time ago. Still kinda looks like one. I'll try to get a pic sometime.

Lets go with idea # 4.

Met in Holden at noonish (I love that word) to oneish (don't like that one), listen to some music, taunt the musicians with a few catcalls, then HDA, then out to Rutland to taunt the musicians again? Can life get any better? At the later gig there should be a banjo there, bring rotten fruit.

Kelly, you in? We need to initiate you.

I am in. Lets meet somewhere in Holden and drive to Chuck and Mudd together so we can all park together. You guys will be able to see my nice new red rings around my speedometer, tachometer, and the 2 rings next to the speedometer! Who is going? Should we make a post in the main area for people that don't read this thread?

Hell no...........let's keep it small and local. If too many people come we'll need to put effort into this.

Lets call it the "Pre-planning of the Central Mass MINI Meet". We can talk about doing a real thing later in the year.

Besides, most MINI people are real wierdos. We sure don't want them to spoil our day. As proof, wait 'til you meet Mike Smith.

What say we meet at Rutland State Park boat ramp at noon or so? Right on/off 122......

Or is there a place good for lunch between Barre and Holden? Do HDA after the Holden gig?

I did meet Mike Smith at the Wachusett Brewery. I went there to see all the Minis a week before I had mine.

Is the Rutland State Park boat ramp the one right on 122, before 122A, at Long Pond? There is the Grand Slam Cafe on 56 in Rutland or Still Four Corners on 122, right before the gas station in Rutland. Still Four Corners would be less expensive than the Grand Slam and they have different types of hot dogs.

HDA is good afterwards.

Ok. Let's meet in Rutland at noon on this Saturday, have a lunch on the blankets in Holden, then go to HDA. What is going on in Holden on Saturday? Is there a bunch of things to do?

Let's take a roll call of who is going.

Well - Its Friday - 2 days since the last post when we were called to annouce ourselves and commit ours names in cyberspace to Motor for Dogs and nobody has posted...
Are we going to Baker this thing that he, himself, has started

If anyone is still interested I propose two options-
1) Holden at noonish (Baker's favorite word), Enjoy Holden Days activities (http://www.holdenareachamber.org/hdays.html) Chuck & Mud play from 1:30-3pm and the Civil War re-enacters shoot the canons every hour. Church Chicken BBQ. Drive RT31 to RT 56 to Hot Dog Annies.

or version #2 (the reverse of version #1)

2) Meet at Hot Dog Annies @ noonish - park together and eat dogs. Drive in unison to Holden for Holden Days (liked it better when it was Holden Together) down Main St to where ever we can park. Enjoy Holden Days activities (http://www.holdenareachamber.org/hdays.html) Chuck & Mud play from 1:30-3pm and the Civil War re-enacters shoot the canons every hour. Church Chicken BBQ

Any takers??? Lets vote! (...or not)

What, you don't like my idea of a meet at Rutland and do a picnic in Holden? Ingrate......

I'll go with the flow, tell me where to be, maybe I'll show up.

I contacted Sideways, alas he cannot make it. Where's the other Holdenite?

I'll more than likely go out to Spencer also for the Hole in the Dam Band. Hey, it's free. But you get what you pay for.

Can I stand in front of the cannons with my thong?

And Kelly, you publishing wizard, get moving on this. I want to see a wicked cool design pronto, before tomorrow. mike and I will bring the spray paint, just tell us what colors.

I love it - "King of Holden"
From the center of Holden follow RT#31 to Paxton. When you get to the blinking light at the top of the hill go left onto Grove St. Follow that to the end. Turn left onto Pleasant St (RT122s) go about a 1/4 mile and at the bottom of the hill will be a right turn (RT#56 toward Leicester). Take that road straight past a couple of resevoirs (two on one side one on the other), an airport runway on your left, and then under some high tension wires. The road will being making a sweeping left bend with Hot Dog Annies on the left. Should take about 10-15 minutes from the center, Your Highness...
Noonish it is!!! :D :silver:
