Braggin' Rights & BBQ - September 25

Bring your shiny MINI, a side dish, lawn chair and get ready for a little friendly competition! We'll fire up the BBQ, chew the fat, chow the food and admire our MINIS! There will be a short demo on installing graphics on your car and plenty of time to pick your favorite car or motorer in each category. After the prizes and braggin rights are handed out, we'll do a little crusing.

When: Saturday, September 25, 2004
Where: Tate MINI of Annapolis, 25 Old Mill Bottom Road in Annapolis MD
Time: 11:00 am to roughly 4:00 pm (including the cruise)
Why: Cause you know your MINI is special and you want to prove it. Braggin' rights for the year are up for grabs. Food, fun and socializing.
Food: Bring a side dish and spare to share. We'll bring the BBQ, burgers and
some sodas.

The fine print: Entries for judging are limited to 30 cars due to space limits in the show area. An unlimited number of cars can come to enjoy the fun and park elsewhere on the dealership lot. When you RSVP please indicate if you wish to enter your car, or if you are just coming out to enjoy the event.
Event fee to offset food costs of $3.00 per car for DC Metro MINI members and $5.00 per car for non-members

Back on topic, RSVP's have been kind of slow for this event. Isn't anyone out there wanting to show off their MINIs? Do you need a better excuse to do all those mods you've always been wanting to do?

We're about two weeks out..........

I signed up and have been awaiting an acknowledgment.

I've had a few e mails with last minute RSVP's over the past two days, and these are totally fine. We have plenty of room to take more folks. The weather will hold for us - no scattered rain showers on our parade!

Thank you all for coming out for a very successful event. We had a nice turn out of about 20 MINIs and their owners. And congratulations to our winners:

Thanks for this everyone, but my dirty car certainly did not deserve any awards!

Tate MINI had a great time with us all out there and everyone who bought a car from Tate yesterday got lots of info about our Club which hopefully will drum up new members. Look in the future for other events like this with Tate.

Special thank you to Deb for putting together ballots, placards and clings - which will be sent out as soon as we can.

Our next event is next weekend at Glenelg Service Center, Tech Day, followed by lunch.
