Does anyone know whether it's possible to retrofit the new Xenon headlight design to an S with the old style Xenons?

What would be the approximate cost?

I'm sure its going to be a lot. I actually asked that at the dealer and they replied that each headlight was about $1000 a piece. too much for me.

This may be of some help. On page 114 in the Q&A section in this months GoMini magazine almost the same question was asked;

As quoted:

Q - I liked the look of the standard headlights on the new cabrio. Will they fit on my 51-plate Cooper without Xenons, and where can I buy them?

A - The restyled front lights should fit older Minis. A number of dealers we contacted couldn't confirm that the electrical connections would match because the lights are so new. Its not a modification we've seen - yet. Contact the parts department of your local dealer, who will be able to check the availability. They cost £118 excluding VAT.
