Help!

One of my OEM Mini driving lights is cracked and not functioning, I believe because someone backed into it. I checked at my local dealer, and the replacement bulb costs $130+ U.S. and I can't afford it! There has to be a cheaper way to replace it, no? I've checked online for about 2 hours and I can't find anything - the next cheapest option is to buy a used set on eBay for almost as much. Any ideas? Anyone know where to get replacements (just the bulb!!)?

TIA, Brook

Was it the lense that was cracked? I could see where it would be that much to replace it.

I've changed the bulb in my OEM driving lights, and the bulb was only $5.69 at Auto Zone. The replacement bulb is an H3.

The lenses can be replaced, if that's what you're referring to. Check with the lamp manufacturer's website for the part number and then go to your local car parts retailer or websites to shop pricing.

Halogen bulbs are very cheap, easy to find/replace. Just don't touch the bulb with your bare fingers when inserting it!

Can you give us a photo of the damage?
