I'm considering purchase of a used Mini (2002 or later). But am concerned about service, especially warranty service, in Birmingham, since we don't have a dealer. Based on my quick wandering through this forum, and the listings in the used car classifieds, there are a number of Mini owners in the area. Where does one get one fixed if it breaks?? Also, should I avoid the 2002/first year model with the idea of avoiding design problems, bugs, etc. typical of a first run? Any other quick observations to offer before I start pouring through this forum for sage advice?

Never mind - I bought an MCS yesterday! :)

Glad to have another motorer in Alabama. Unfortunately warranty service is performed in Atlanta or Nashville. Maybe with the outcry from the Alabama MINI owners we could change it to get some service in BHAM. Hope to see you down the road soon. :cool:
