Looking very windswept and interesting there Kellie. - Specially in that first one where Karen seems to be doing something unmentionable to your back end.

Much better than my wet hair look. Scotty, you are in big trouble for that.

Thanks for that great shot Scotty :)

Picture explained : I had a bottle of water and was wetting everyone with it, I'd just got Kerrie and started laughing and i'd already had a mouth full of water. Hense the pic :)

Thanks again everyone for a great day. Got a bit hot and a bit sunburnt but everything went well and we raised a heaps of money for people less fortunate than us.

Stu was spewin when I got home and he seen the car quoted words included "why did I bother cleaning etc etc" :p :p

Lastly thanks to Kerrie, Alan and Kellie for organising a great day. Also thanks to my co-pilot for the day, Brad.

Thanks

Karen

Try having two huge cracks in the windscreen. I say it adds character to the Mini :)

What a great one!

Didn't know what to expect being a newbie but we were definitely not disappointed. Mrs Mini 7 and the soon to be "mini Mini 7" enjoyed the day too - at least I think the little one did as he was quiet all day and only starting kicking and bouncing when we got home and stopped the car..

Love the pictures and look forward to seeing the video footage.

Gotta brush up on my driving skills me thinks - any suggestions for courses or track training?

Big thanks to all who organised the day and look forward to the next one!!!!!

Scotty I'll PM my contact details to you.

I hope I did a good job as leader. It's hard when everyone doesn't have walkie talkies and making sure everyone is comfortable with the driving pace.

Mini7,
That piece of road yesterday, is a fairly difficult road to drive. The roads are very narrow and you cannot see into the corner more than a car length. (Try leading and having a red mini catching quickly :p :p)

The MINI driver training is great fun and its 1/2 day for $385. Its a bit expensive for everyone to do, but we all had a ball.

Cheers

U did a great job leading was having an absolute ball following you quickly in the red mini :D always easier when someone is in front setting the pace and showing the way ;)

Is there a preferred or standard jolly rodger/skull and cross bones image (jpeg/gif/bmp whatever) that is used for us Aussie pirates ?? I ask because I would like to incorprate the Pirates emblem into the video footage when i edit it up :D so if anyone can email me the file that would be very cool

Cheers

It certainly is easier to follow and have the pace set for you.

I'll check out the mini driver training, sounds like just the ticket.

Although I found the road a bit tricky I never stopped smiling even if I did go a bit wide once or twice and having fun is what its all about. Considering that 4 weeks ago I was driving a Diesel powered Land Rover I reckon I can only improve :D

What sort of walkie talkie do you use - any model preferences, best places to buy, etc?

Thanks,

James

IMO the Uniden's are great. I have this one http://uniden.com.au/v3/FRAME_PROD.HTM it's $169, but if you have a look on the website these ones are great as well http://uniden.com.au/v3/FRAME_PROD.HTM for only $99. Definately check them out from D i c k Smith.

Hope that helps

Cheers

As long as it is UHF (I assume you guys are running UHF) any set should do the trick for you and **** Smith powerhouses usually have good prices on various hand helds

Was gonna talk to you about that later.

Mini 7 needs a Pirate sticker or two also :)

If you look in my signature the little pirate symbol is the one we use for the stickers.
