Im thinking of getting the S skirts for my cooper, im just wondering whats needed to install the S skirts myself, ive read the DIY guide but its not that helpful.
Ive checked out my current cooper skirts & it seems all i have to do is unscrew 7 or so screws on each skirt & then screw the S skirt in the existing holes.
Is there anything else i need to know or is it as easy as it looks ?
Any advice will be great, thanks. :)

I haven't done it yet but intend to. I believe there are some push in clips that you have to pull out as well. I think it's easy to break these, so you need to order a set from your dealer before you start the job (they only cost a few pence/cents each)
Let us know how you get along :)

Hey Daniel
It's any easy job. After you have removed the stainless steel sill plates, there are 4/5 plugs underneath. Simply turn 90 degs to remove. Remove screws underneath. You should be then about to pull the skirt off (yes this step destroys 9 - 10 plus - cheap to replace, I spent ~$30 in clips). I believe that new skirts come with clips - mine was second hand so I had to buy new clips. Reverse to put skirt back on. Be careful when removing sill plate, as they are expensive.
I thought the instructions were actually good.
Any questions let me know.
Cheers
Chris :):):)

Search for S side skirts, or check the FAQ & DIY section for a full guide.

I believe you have to buy new clips, but they are cheap, only a few dollars each.

cool, im doing a similar job on my aero skirts, if i was to ask bmw for these clips, what are they called exactly, is there a part number?
also, on an aero skirt, is there double sided tape involved, my second hand skirts have some soft strip on the underside??!
or is there a good guide to fitting, apart from the bmw pdf?

Got the skirts on. :D
I ended up getting new clips with the skirts.....broke the old ones.
Was alittle tricky with the sill, but got there with some fishing line.
Looks pretty  now with the new skirts.
