If it was any normal car then 'YES' I would think you were a bit of a fruit cake BUT we are talking about a Mini here so I would think you were a fruit cake if you didn't feel like crying! :D

Quite normal! I was irrationally gutted selling my One to make way for the Cooper Cabrio. If I'd still been in work, I'd have kept the One for my kids now they're at the age to learn to drive.....and no, they are NOT going to learn on Minerva!

I think I will be holding back the tears this week when I pick up my MCSC and wave goodbye to my MCS:(

I'm choking back tears at the thought of it and I don't even know your car. :D

MINIs aren't just "cars"...so I would say that it was perfectly normal! ;)

Yes.

Just be thankful you didn't total your MINI, and have the displeasure of seeing it taken away on a flatbed and sold for spare parts.....

This happened to my best friend. It was NOT PRETTY!

So far the only solution seems to be jyn&thooniques.

Thats exactly how mine was brought to an end... and there were a whole lot of tears. It wasn't so much about the accident, but more about never having that MINI again. :(

Exactly. The accident was minimal--I don't even feel free to share the details at this point, but it was a freakish "Herbie the Love Bug" sort of thing. No people were involved, so no one was hurt.

It was the sense of loss.

But as another good friend said, "Only a liquid yellow MINI Cooper S could do this!"

Sort of like the closing scence in "Saving Private Ryan". It was appropriate, and meet.

Good to hear no one was harmed. These cars are certainly safe little guys. ;)

I would buy back my totaled MINI now if I had the chance. I have a replacement and love it, but theres something about that first one.

Know what you mean, and this was even considered. Although the car was totaled, the parts were still worth a great deal, especially if you have two or three MINIs.

But the emotional toll of having a once beautiful and now wreaked MINI under a tarp out back was deemed too great, so off it went. The daily reminder, you see.

We cried.

I had a ONE for 18 Months and it had its work cut out replacing my beloved classic now I have a picture of both cars on my desk.
