: MARCH 2005 Group hembrey Apr 11th, 2005, 02:35 PM Don, Are you on the Andes Highway? It's due in SC 4/12...
Me too! I see from OL that my scheduled date is 4/15 also. I'll be flying in to pick it up the end of the following week however.
Can't wait!!
Don ryanelp80 Apr 11th, 2005, 03:26 PM Still no word from my MA on the Est Delivery Date being true, in a way, I hope it is, because that means (duh!) I can get my car faster! And, in a way, I hope it isn't... Because I won't have the ability to pick Him up till Friday... Unless, of course, I can sell my current car today or tomorrow... Oh, the AGONY!!! :( gaminicool Apr 11th, 2005, 04:02 PM Okay - Here's what I've been able to figure out for those of us with Minis on the Andes Highway. As of 10:33 this morning, the boat is scheduled to dock in Charleston 4/12 - hopefully Tuesday morning. According to the port of Charleston web site (thanks to Ken30307 ;) ) Workers start offloading boats at 8 am.
The Andes Highway has been assigned a terminal - which I think is good news
For those of you monitoring the Resolve, it is scheduled to dock in Charleston on 4/14 - no terminal yet assigned as its still too far away :(
Now how do I get my special March '05 mini support group T-shirt?
Bring on the Minis :D :D :D :D    :D :D :D :D Ken30307 Apr 11th, 2005, 04:17 PM I'm back in Atlanta..and time has reallllllllly slowed down. Yeah..the Resolve lands in Charleston on the 14th..that's 3 years away. I'm still assuming a week in Charleston including travel to Atlanta..and then 3 days at the Dealer...so that's the 25th. I'm sure I'll get it before then..but that's the outside date. If there's a speedy turnaround..it could be as soon as the 16th??
I'm pretty pooped out on waiting at this point and I'm self medicating with cookies.

Mmmmmmm... cooookies..... :p gaminicool Apr 11th, 2005, 04:23 PM Ken are you at Global or Hank Aaron? If you at at Global we could theoretically pick up our cars the same day at the same dealer :D
Hopefully there won't be too long a delay at the VDC.
Just killin' time here staring at my Mistubishi lancer rental car
This wait can end soon enough  Mk2 Colonial Viper Apr 11th, 2005, 04:32 PM Hey guys and gals -- did you receive a list from your MA asking how you want your options set up in your MINI? Or do they just assume?
Hi from the windy city - it's cool to be in a city where there are MINI's - Yuma has two I'm aware of (mine, not delivered, included).
Update: OL says enroute, phone "at port .." = no change :( + no call from MA yet
Options: I received an email from MINIUSA asking me what I preferred - linked to button quiz/multiple choice option, click and send w/ message indicating it was forwarded to MINI North Scottsdale (Phoenix, AZ). I believe the dealer signs you up for email notifications. There is a thread under tracking in the OL. Off to work :) Scott

Mind Meld with your MINI
Some pets look like their owners. MINIs, on the other hand, tend to think like their owners. The brake system with ABS, EBD and CBC anticipates your every move. The electronic throttle system responds instantly to your commands. Heck, your MINI will even turn up the volume of the stereo for you as you get going faster and road noise increases.
But that's just the beginning. Click the link below and we'll program your MINI to know your every whim by the time you pick it up.
- Tell us your 6 favorite radio stations so your MINI will have your favorite music ready and waiting.
- Let us know when your MINI should lock and unlock the doors for you.
- Tell us when you'd like your MINI to shine its big, beautiful headlamps on the world. dpacker Apr 11th, 2005, 04:36 PM Oh yeah, baby! Got an email from my MA, the car arrived late Saturday, it's in mid-prep!
Dang it, I have to wait until next weekend to pick it up. This week is going to be the longest yet.
:(
Somehow knowing where it is makes it a lot less stressful. Knowledge is strength!
:D

If it makes you feel any better - me too! I haven't heard from my MA yet (I think he has today off), but I know my MINI is there waiting for me to pick him up this coming weekend. At least this time next week we will be motoring...or I'll be eating lunch in my office (like now) and staring out the window at my little :yellow: MINI wishing I were out driving him around. Will the weekend ever come?

He's motoring already and I'm not!!!!! metlslug Apr 11th, 2005, 06:04 PM Hi everyone, just wanted to tell you all that I am SO PROUD of this enormous thread that I started! :) It's not so much the March 2005 Production Group, but really the March 2005 Awaiting-Their-MINI's-Co-Dependency-Support-Group :D :D.
Got the call from East Bay Mini - I'm picking up my baby on Friday! Unfortunately, it looks like I'm not going to get ANYTHING for my trade-in (they might actually charge me :)) but who cares - I'M GETTING A MINI! :) Tazminia Apr 11th, 2005, 06:26 PM Dang....we FINALLY just got "The Call" from our MA a few minutes ago. We are gonna hop a train up to the Windy City (yep, that was Chicago) on wednesday afternoon to pick 'er up. I didn't think (at times) that this day would ever get here!
Hype..I'm guessing yours made it too?? My guess is that the truck didn't make it until today or late last night, but either way we should be good to go.
Randy
P.S. Will post pics that evening. Thank YOU for starting this thread. Or shall we agree...support group. :D
It sure gave us all a chance to bond on one way or another, gripe to each other and generally hook up with fellow inmates...err..future MINI owners!
Just a thought..we might wanna shorten the name to MINI-anon though
Oh, and Congrats on picking up your new MINI later this week! Hi - Yes, I posted a couple of days ago my status - same as yours - and said I'd be in Chicago on business for a couple days (not crazy) - looking forward to seeing more MINI's - they are all over here. Just had lunch at Miller's, been down at the peer, looks like it might rain. Much busier than rural AZ :) So no news is good news ..... right?

There once was a man in a spot,
He wanted his MINI from the lot.
Said loudly did btdoyle,
"Just get to Iowa soil!..
So I can drive it and ask- slow.. or not?" rsinsheimer Apr 11th, 2005, 07:25 PM I could use his advice... I am having some jealousy issues... my boyfriend bought a dark silver MCS off the lot this Saturday!!! He's motoring already and I'm not!!!!!
I think I see a couple of patterns here -- couples buying two MINIs, I guess this suggests that some folks have issues with sharing.
:D
Also, you'll note that the ladies are willing to wait for exactly what they want, whereas the men need/want immediate gratification, so they buy off the lot. Typical.

Not me...my MA found a car pretty much exactly like what I wanted except it didn't have the heated seats and the anthracite interior...I could have had the car in 3 days...but instead I waited...and waited...and waited...
but the idea of having a car made expecially for me is pretty incredible... paulr Apr 11th, 2005, 08:12 PM Patience is a virtue :)
Just think, next time you order a MINI it'll be easier knowing what the wait is like :p And you know you'll order another MINI !!! paulr Apr 11th, 2005, 08:20 PM Hi - Yes, I posted a couple of days ago my status - same as yours - and said I'd be in Chicago on business for a couple days (not crazy) - looking forward to seeing more MINI's - they are all over here. I sure hope so! My expectations are so high at this point I'm not sure that any real car could meet them.

Yes :) The smelt is in season so I had the local special. This is a great area of town, though parking must be a challenge!
Scott Don Plumley Apr 11th, 2005, 09:59 PM Don, Are you on the Andes Highway? It's due in SC 4/12...
Nope - I was on the Madame Butterfly, docked and discharged on 4/9. :D | |
