Send me a PM with amount and size? AprilWhine Aug 18th, 2005, 09:03 AM Here's an example of his name buttons:

no minimum on these since each is unique. Again, send me a PM if you want one of these. Kellzir Aug 18th, 2005, 06:30 PM April - Congrats on the new addition to the family. Your husband's MINI looks good. Now you both get the best of both worlds, a convertible and non-convertible. Will you and your husband drive seperatly to meets now? :D Cute button, btw. gaminicool Aug 18th, 2005, 08:47 PM April - great looking Mini :D You also have PM. Come on March 05ers - order some shirts.
I recommend white for the color so us who drive topless can stay cool  AprilWhine Aug 18th, 2005, 09:00 PM April - Congrats on the new addition to the family. Your husband's MINI looks good. Yes Kellzir, that was the idea. ;) We both wanted to drive, so this seemed like the best solution. :D AprilWhine Aug 18th, 2005, 09:01 PM Four tshirts so far... erickvonzipper Aug 18th, 2005, 11:07 PM Four tshirts so far...
I'll take a shirt in a Large if they're 100% cotton.
Zip AprilWhine Aug 18th, 2005, 11:24 PM Yes, 100% cotton, that makes 5!
Price is going to be around $10 for each shirt, and another $5 for USPS priority mail. erickvonzipper Aug 18th, 2005, 11:32 PM Yes, 100% cotton, that makes 5!

Okay then tell me when and where to send payment (paypal, please). If there's a choice I'd like a light color like white or gray.
Zip AprilWhine Aug 19th, 2005, 12:00 AM So it's not a pig in a poke...
The Artist suggested doing the print in black ink on a white or gray background, then each person uses a fabric pen to color their own MINI.
Here's an example, but these are two color prints: gaminicool Aug 19th, 2005, 07:46 PM April - that looks good. what will the shirt say? Have we decided?
Five more shirts to go  AprilWhine Aug 19th, 2005, 09:23 PM April - that looks good. what will the shirt say? Have we decided?

We haven't decided what to say on the shirts. Bad news though, it's five down and 7 to go. :( Minimum order is 12. crosebud Aug 20th, 2005, 03:40 AM Anyone taken any cool trips lately?Debbie
Hey, guys, well, I'm just back from my two weeks on Ocracoke Island (without the MINI, of course, because I had to leave it home in San Francisco). Anyway, still brought some of the MINI spirit along. I gave my six year old nephew a remote control MC and also a MINI t-shirt both of which he loved. My nephews lives in Amsterdam, and has been MINI spotting there for several months because he knew his aunt (me) was going to buy one, so anyway he' sort of hooked.
I know AprilW has a MINI run planned for Ocracoke in Sept., so I kept picturing MINIs on the streets as I wandered about. I do think it's a great place for a run, but my one caution to drivers is to stay away from potholes. They are very deep! Some of the roads fill with water after a vigorous rain. You think you're driving through a shallow puddle in the street, but suddenly your'e in a trench! Also bring insect repellent if you're there after 5pm. I was ready for the mosquitos and the black flies from previous visits there, but this year we were attacted my swarms of biting gnats as well.
Still had a great time. Kayaked, boogie-boarded, ate lots of seafood. I didn' take a lot of pictures, but here are a couple.
Also, order those t-shirts! Surely there are 12 of us left! I liked the original design that had 5 (I think) MINIs on it and 'March 2005 Production Group' or something like that. If I can find it in this thread I'll post it again.

Hi April!
Congratulations on the addition of a new MINI to the family. Having two is definitely a cool thing - that means you always get to drive whenever you want. Sometimes it's tough deciding when you're only taking one car though!
And, I want a shirt - count me in! I suppose a Small for me if they're pre-shrunk. What does that make the count? We may just have to PM some people who haven't posted in a while!
Anyone participating in the scavenger hunt? I went and took my first picture about ten minutes after reading the e-mail. Bad thing is that the first mission started at 11:59 pm, so I'm already behind. It should be fun, but we East Coast people have a disadvantage. You West Coast people should be able to do well at this! I may still have to give it a shot though...even if it means being out taking pictures of my MINI at midnight! Hey, it's only six weeks!
Yippee - t-shirts!

Debbie, do you like the idea of black drawings on white that you color in with fabric pens? I thought that was a way to have a unique to you tshirt. :) I ordered the minimum with mine and the hubby's cars on them. You could do that too, then give the extras out as Xmas gifts. :D
We're going to give one each to our MA, the manager at our dealer, and the SA. Hey, it's good to give back, doncha think?
When you say small, I assume you want a ladies' cut? AprilWhine Aug 23rd, 2005, 11:27 PM And what do we want them to say?

That's actually a pretty cool idea. So you're saying that we could have t-shirts of our own cars - with our own text - as long as we order the minimum? Between me, my husband, 5 nieces and nephews, and my dad, that would only leave four more! Darn - if only they made sizes for bunnies, that would make the other four for me! :-)
That's worth considering though. I could surprise my husband with t-shirts of our MINIs! Do they do kids' sizes too?

I'm pretty sure they do. :)
In our order, we're getting polo shirts, to wear to work, two ts for him, two for me, and six for gifts/spares. :) gaminicool Aug 24th, 2005, 01:20 AM How about: March 2005 Production Group - 100% Original Mini Cooper I like the custom color in idea.
Oh BTW - I got my wisdom teeth pulled today  But things are looking better. However, I hear the next day is the worst  AprilWhine Aug 24th, 2005, 09:45 AM Wisdom teeth yuck! Hope you feel better soon. :) gaminicool Aug 24th, 2005, 01:49 PM Thanks April. Actually the surgery went very well and I have had no pain to deal with
BTW - Here's a pic of me and Coolcab in Savannah :D AprilWhine Aug 24th, 2005, 01:53 PM Nice! :D crosebud Aug 25th, 2005, 02:51 AM April, just a regular man's t-shirt for me (in Medium). No girl cut. I'm kind of a volleyball freak, need something loose i can play in. I like to surprise my fellow players with unusual tees and a March Production Group one would definitely do the trick. BTW, I love your hubbies new MINI. The color combo is my latest favorite.
Nice pic, Gaminicool. I really want to go to Savanah sometime. Good luck with the teeth thing.
And Debbie, just a hey. Have appreciated your recent posts that have helped keep this thread alive. Johnny L Aug 25th, 2005, 06:25 AM Hey, Y'all!
Glad to see the March Builders won't stop yackin'! I must confess that I've slacked off a bit, but I have a bit of an excuse:
On August 5, a new Motorist was born. Elizabeth Helen. 9 lbs, 4 oz, 19". Baby and mother are doing fine; Dad is up to his elbows in nappies (gotta speak the lingo, right?), spit up, and most of the household chores. Needless to say, I've been, uh, busy. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v617/crazy4blues/Black%20Jack/Babys1stMotoringTrip.jpg
And, while she didn't ride home in Black Jack from the hospital, she did take her first Motoring trip before she was a week old (mom didn't go, but she greatly appreciated a little break!).
Okay, that's all for now. I'm enjoying a small moment of "alone" time right now. I wish you all well, and I'll try to get back as often as I can. Cheers!
Oh, and put me down for a shirt!!! XL!! AprilWhine Aug 25th, 2005, 08:41 AM Congrats Johnny! She is so beautiful!
And crosebud, keep an eye on the Mid Atlantic forum for pics from our Ocracoke run. :) crosebud Aug 25th, 2005, 02:53 PM Holy Moley, Johnny! Contratulations!!! She's so beautiful!!! Had wondered why we hadn't heard from you in a while. Very good reason indeed. | |
