: It's on schedule

I ordered my MCSa on 2/14. For the last month all the MINI website would show is "on order". Then, about 2 weeks ago, I called my MA and he said that it was on schedule and that the website was usually behind in its information. I then called ASK MINI and was told that my car was scheduled for week 12 production.

Yesterday, the website information changed to show "sceduled for production" and had a VIN #. :)

I called ASK MINI and the automated system now says my car is scheduled for completion 3/25. :) :) :)

Looks like my MA's initial prediction of a mid-April delivery date may come true.

I can't wait!!!

Used to live in Broome County, NY. You should have good motoring on the backroads of NY. Did you go performance tires for the two months of summer or all weather?

I can't wait. There are some VERY nice roads I travel on a few times each week that were just made for a MINI.

I was trying to keep the cost down so I didn't go for the Sports Package with the 17" wheels w/ 205's. I felt that the 195's on the 16's were enough tire for the car. I also opted for the all-season tire as this will be my daily driver and we have been known to get the occassional rain storm and snow storm here. ;)

Well, to those who are paying attention.......I called ask MINI and their automated system said that it was indeed completed on 3/25 and was now realeased to a carrier for its trip to the dock.

I feel like :D :D :D :D :D :D

That's great!

Suggestion, go over to the NE forum and check out MINIs on Top. I think Cape Cod MINI still has a few open slots. It is THE MINI event of the year!

Tom B - I live in Southampton and just saw a load of minis being transported through town to the docks - maybe yours was on there - exciting! :)

Caz,
Thanks for the update, but mine was showing "received at the terminal" 3/30. Perhaps you can wander down to the docks and convince someone to give my MINI 1st class accomodations?

It's Chili Red / black roof / black mirrors / black bonnet stripes. If you see it going up the ramp today (as it's supposed to), give a wave for me. :)

I'll ask for the Executive Suite. With a spec like that only the best will do! ;)
