: SuperChip performance boost for the S?

I've seen the information from SuperChips about performance improvements on the Mini One and the Cooper but I have yet to see any posts for the Cooper S. Anyone out there find any specs on this mod or is it still just too new to know yet?

Thanks,
Jim

After inquiring to SuperChips directly I see why there were no responses on this thread. I thought the rest of you would want the answer in any case.

Alas it will be interesting to see what performance parts become available once the S has been out for a while.

Regards,
Jim

Thanks for the enquiry

Unfortunately we do not have a modification for this vehicle at the present time , I can keep your details on file and advise as soon as this is available.

Amigos I spoke to Superchips here in Florida and they info me that had no intention in providing a chip for the MINI:(

...since they list the One and the standard Cooper as candidates on their site. I still wonder though cause I called the superchips rep in Chicago (supposedly the only one in the states, so he says) and he indicated that he had a mod for the S already ($500 US). Could be he was BSing me or maybe he just told me an as yet unreleased "secret".

One can only hope they figure it all out and give us the option (if it works). I'm not inclined to do much to this engine right off the bat but give me 30k miles and then we might have a different conversation.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Jim, it seems very sad that there is no available chips for the car , but the way I understand it Mini Mania and Mini-Madness are coming thru in the nearby future. Im going to deal with Roe-Racing hear in Jacksonville ,Florida my vehicle gets here before theirs and I suggested the can look at my vehicle to see what they can offer, the primarily deal with Dodge VIPERS and they plan to expand and cater Mini's. I'll keep everyone posted!!:D

Roe Racing uses the Split Second box on the Vipers. Check out Split Second here (http://www.splitsecond.com) . Its become common with the supercharged and 408 stroker crowd also (dodge dakota). Neat little toys.

Here's the Skinny on the Superchip for the S. Not sure about that Chicago guy from the recent post but he's definetly not the only dealer here in the states. We have sent Superchips the programing from our "S" to evaluate. Thats what they are doing now. They don't really expect to gain much if anything because of the complexity of the "S" and its mechanically driven supercharger. The other thing is the poor programming on the "S" from the factory (stalling) is being reworked from what I have heard. So developing a chip based on the poor factory programing isn't wise. Looks like a waiting game for now.

Fear not though "S" owners. Our heat shielded air intake will be available soon as well as the "S" exhaust.
More engine goodies are in testing right now and we will unveil them shortly!
