The ones listed as waitlisted and received before 5/10, I would bet on them being at sea on a Kline ship. :)

I only posted to show off my cool new sig.

I'm (sadly) one of those on the waitlist that may or may not be on the Takasago today. If little JJ is indeed on a K-Line ship, how would I verify that?

btw...cool SIG, April.

Another idea from left field: have them build the worlds largest Trebuchet and we'll build the worlds largest net. Then all we need to pray for is that the Brits are terribly accurate with their aim! ;) (yes, this is what I get for trying to learn a new word a day...)

ohhh...ohh...I vote for the trebuchet! But I think we will have to wrap the cars in bubble wrap before we sling shot them across. Oh, and then when they get to the states, we can pop the bubble wrap! whee!
Sorry...I am a little loopy right now.
:p

The way to verify if you're on a Kline ship is complicated. First you have to get a Bill of Lading number from your MA. If someone else doesn't post the rest of the directions soon, I'll look up the procedure and post it tomorrow. :)

but good news is that if your MINI is on a Kline ship, it may show up in port any day now. :)

I dunno. Our beloved president might order them shot down! :bad:

The Takasago is scheduled to depart at 19:30 local time which is 2:30 Eastern.

Here is a link showing scheduled ships in and out of Southampton.

Interesting in that is shows it's destination as New York. I guess it stops there first?

After it leaves we can check the booking to see if any of us made it on.

Congrats to all that made it on.

There is the link showing the Southampton radar. You can see it moving down the inlet.

Remember the FAQ. ....

Some MINIs have even been LOADED only to be REMOVED and then BOOKED on a later departing vessel. To avoid frustration, check to see that your MINI is still LOADED a day or two after its intended vessel departs Southampton.

Guarded optimism is the key! A guarded but optimistic Congrats! :)

I called my MA (Stephen @ Global Imports MINI) and he checked on my car. He estimated that the car is 3 weeks away now. He didn't tell me what ship it will be on, but it made me feel better getting an answer about timelines.

Finally got a decent CSR over at ASKMINI. She said that sometime early today my car entered the body shop....does anyone know how long a car spends at this stage of production? They say I'm supposed to be complete by the 17th. Does anyone think that target is reachable. I would assume that at the very least, they OVERESTIMATE the completion date....not underestimate. So, if it does complete on the 17th, is it at all likely that it'll get one of the ships leaving the 19th or 20th?

I can't wait until I take my vacation (starting MAY 24th).....Unfortunately it is a working vacation but I am going out of the country for it.....the good thing is I'll be nowhere near a computer (somewhat near a telephone though) and will realistically be able to forget about this whole order tracking stuff.....it is driving me nutty. :D

We entered the Body shop on May 9th, Paint shop later that day, assembly on the 10th, quality control on the 11th and completed on the 12th and on to the terminal.

So today is the 13th which means 3 more days. You have a weekend though, so maybe the 17th is a good date.

Some people rolled to the terminal on the 12th and onto the Takasago on the 13th, so anything is possible. I guess it depends on how many cars are already booked on the ship. One of the Minis that got to the Terminal with ours did get on the boat, we didn't and are scheduled for next Friday.

Good luck though!

I have been obsess..err...looking at the WW website and noticed that about 30 of the cars that are not listed as being "Loaded on Vessel" no longer have an asterik by their VIN. So there may be hope for us yet.

I've been following the Takasago too. Just in case we snuck on.

That list of 30 was there without * early this morning and nothing has been updated.

My guess is that we won't see the WW site updated until tomorrow morning, or possibly Monday :( .

Then I bet the list will be adjusted to show what is really on the Takasago.

If we end up on the Morning Noble I searched and searched and it was as if this ship didn't exist.

On a Dutch website I found a listing that it had docked and the call sign is 3EDF9.

It looks like it was recently renamed MORNING NOBLE from TOKYO HIGHWAY.

Useful link:
http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shiplocations.phtml

I was able to locate a few MINI carrying ships using Ship traffic worldwide under Ship search. The Carmen is shown south west of Great Brittian right now.

Dude...I can't believe you tracked the CARMEN down...my car is on that too...I hope they don't get ours confused since our cars are soooo similar :-)

I am actually planning to get 16" tires and rims for the winter, coz I heard 17" winters are tough...

I never thought the wait would be so exciting...

Well, the Procyon just showed up on the Southampton VTS schedule. Looks like it is the next Port Hueneme bound car carrier. Capacity is just over 5300 vehicles.

Just curious everyone, were your build dates within the week specified by your MA, or were they a few days or even a week earlier?

My car was originally scheduled for week 20 production. But it actually went into production at the end of week 17. Not sure if this is the info. you are looking for.

Yes, Hobbit, that's exactly what I'm looking for! I'm hoping MINI will take pity on me and move my car up :D

I was told my MC would be here the 2nd or 3rd week in June. It arrived in the US last Friday, and I expect to take delivery this week -- 3 or 4 weeks early. :D

When I ordered my MINI I was told that I would take delivery on the 30th of August. Of couse, I have been told that Sandia BMW/MINI likes to overdeliver (in this case, over two months.) The tactic bothers me to some degree, but oh well my Cooper S is waiting for a ship right now. Hoping the Procyon Leader is headed for Port Hueneme and that my vehicle makes it on it.

A couple of things happened overnight.

The group of 490 Minis that were booked on the Takasago shrunk to only the 230 that said loaded on vessel.

Also, our Mini's VIN that had been booked on the Morning Noble vanished and now says "No tracking information available.

Looks like we may have gotten switched over to Kline on the Emden or Frisia.

My guess is the Frisia.

Anyone else have their tracking information disappear?

Mine is still there and now booked on the MORNING NOBLE. My car has been at the dock since 5/4/05 and has been waitlisted from two ships. I'm still not clear how or why it could have missed those ships. Why would it still be there (from 5/04) and almost all the later arriving cars get shipped out?

How strange, that yall keep getting moved around. Maybe you are really on a ship and the tracking is just being silly.

I still show to be loaded on the Takasago, that left on the 13th. I bet that all of your cars arrive stateside before mine.

I wish we had some way to verify, so everyone would know their status.

My MC, Ernest T. Nugget, reached Keeler this morning! My MA just called and we're all set for me taking delivery on Wednesday morning! I'm so excited! His specs:

2005 MC White over Liquid Yellow
Sport package: 16" wheels, spoiler, sport seats, front fogs
Cold weather package: heated stuff
Spare 15" rims with Haakapelliita snows
Onboard computer
Rear fog lamp
MF steering wheel with cruise
Standard air and sounds

The MiniUSA tracking is all over the place. Online, it tells me I'm En Route. On the automated voice thing it says I'm in port awaiting transport. (Which port?) The live person says they can't track after Southampton. WW says it was aboard the Maersk Teal and was discharged in NY last Friday. It's amazing I still have any fingernails left!

I placed my order April 10, got a production number the next day, started production April 21 and finished May 2. Nugget reached Southampton May 4 and shipped out the following day. Arrived at the VDC on Friday May 13th and reached the dealer today, Monday the 16th. Not bad for a promised delivery date the second or third week in June! :D

I may have spoken too soon... my VIN no longer works on the WW site. BobsWifesMini - looks like you on the money with your assumption. I'm hoping for the Emden :)

My car isn't on the WW website anymore either. Saturday went and checked on financing rates (and of course to drive the car again) and my MA said the car would probably be on a boat Monday. Hopefully it made it onto a Kline ship.

Hello everyone. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who religiously checks the status of their mini order =D I ordered my black S late april, and it's since been completed. Unfortunately like many of you I'm still 'waiting for transport.' To make things worse, mine is being shipped to LA and as far as I can tell, it's difficult (if not impossible) to track the status of the delivery through NYK. Any suggestions? Happy waiting :)
