i''ve had my 53 plate diesel chipped by Shires Tuning and its turned it into an ACCELERATING (or exhiliarating!!) MONSTER!!!! it pulls like billyo in every gear including 5 & 6 - am going to get it rolling roaded to see the bhp - with K&N i reckon 100+
I've got 17" team dynamic alloys, powerflow twin 4" exhaust, lowered PI springs, k&n 57i,
Alpine 9835r , 6 disc mp3 changer, 2 x 10" JL AUDIO subs Rockford Fosgate component fronts, Rockford Fosgate rear side 6x9's, Focal rear 6x9's & 1100watt JBL amp and BLOODY BIG SPOT LIGHTS!!

DID I FORGET TO SAY I USE IT AS MY DRIVING INSTRUCTOR CAR????

HERE'S SOME PICS - SORRY ITS ABIT DIRTY!!! (guess which country i'm from???)

Very good-Can you tell us more with what they have done with your Car? :)
Did you get it done through their website or win an auction on Ebay?

Just looked at the pictures!
Nice S Lookalike-Do you not get any comments from the people you teach to drive or examiners?

the examiners and pupils love the car's looks - had many a "Mini Owner" comment about there not being an SD model!!! all the guys at my dealer love the things i've done cos they say it really winds up there S customers - who can't believe i'm "allowed" to put the stickers on!!!

The Shires Tuning Mod was done by Jamie who covers all the midlands - totally professional - came anyday and time i wished - to house - and was prompt.
He plugged his laptop into my port!! and downloaded all the ECU settings and emailed them to Germany Speedbuster - where it took about an hour & a half for the Germans to optimize the settings - they emailed it back to him and he uploaded it straight away - and let me have a go.
He was surprised i came back after only 15 mins - "normally people are off racing for half an hour!!" - the acceleration through every gear is incredible - turbo starts spinning at about 1500rpm as opposed to 3000rpm originally - and keeps accelerating all the way - obviously i cannot speed being a driving instructor - but it now does well over 100mph - i will get top speed out of it this weekend for you - with the k&n 57i shires reckon its kicking out 100bhp as opposed to 75 standard

Hi Robgee,

I love what you done to your One D! I have just bought a D and am studying for my ADI part 3 at the moment, and am finding it hard. Was it easy to get ADI insurance with all the mods? I might chip mine if the insurance is reasonable. Also have heard the clutches can be expensive to replace, have you had any problems? Have attached a pic of my D, has aircon, pepper pack, cd, 17 s-spokes and dealer painted roof. Cheers Steve

nice one steve - hope the part 3 goes ok - got mine 1st time -- phew!!! the clutch is covered for 3 years under the warranty so if theres a problem - get your dealer to sort it - the chipping by shires is invisible to anyone - and can only be noticed by the difference when driving - shires will reset and then replace FOC when yours goes to service!!!

Steve,
Seeing as how you wont need them 17" wheels for the learners I am prepared to take them off you. I can even supply you with some steelies as a straight swop.

Best wishes for part 3.

Hi Guys, thanks for the best wishes for part 3. Yep am going to keep the alloys, see how it goes, might regret it, but it makes the car look so right in my opinion. Cheers, Steve

Hi - "only" 100 hp? you may be in for a pleasant surprise :D - when remapped on rolling road, my D was upped to 115 bhp - but it's the torque increase that makes it so much more fun - the car now pulls really strongly w/o changing down

So did you try the top speed at the weekend? Don't say where you did it, as there will be Gatso's everywhere on that road be next week. You never know who is tuned into the forums!

sorry bout the top speed thing - i forgot to put me foot down!

the exhaust is a powerflow s/s cost £340 and hums quite nicely for a diesel! lifetime guarantee aswelll

the muddy's are BMW own - dead easy to fit and i nearly fell over when BMW told me they were £7.oo / pair :D

i hope the hp will be 115!! and like you say it pulls forever in each gear including 6th!!
