1. Definitely go for the white roof, does make it stand out so much more:cool:
2. Why not go for the satelite 1/2 leather black panther/lapis blue?
3. Get the upgrade! I couldn't get it because I was way over my budget (my MCS will be a company car, had even to negotiate hard for the spec I'm having now!) and I'm still annoyed about that:mad: My boss couldn't believe my choice for such a small car ("My Toyota Picnic is even cheaper:o :p :D ")

Unbelievable we are debating about all these luxuary problems, thinking of all these unlucky persons who cannot even order a Cooper s:rolleyes: :p

I went to the dealers this morning for my test drive, car was awesome, so much power in all gears! I found it very easy to launch (No chance of a stall) and I liked the gearing ratios, not a problem I think. The car sounded AMAZING! I like the popping sound when you lift off to change gear. :D

Started to ask my dealer about the changes I was thinking of making, too late came his cry, they're building it as we speak, I looked on the system with him and it has a chassis number, and is due at the dealers on 27/06/02, with me picking it up on the 1st July instead of the 17th. Wasnt even supposed to be getting built until week 27! So all you people with similar dates to mine get your dealer to check your status!

So all that last minute changing of heart about the auto air and roof colour were useless! Never mind, I am well happy with my original spec and I get the car over 2 weeks earlier, mmmmmm 18 days until pickup!!

Yeah, too tru QQQ, we should count ourselves lucky for being able to afford the car at all, especially as I am only 23 and last year I was a student. Still I suppose it is because I have no commitments, no children (i know of) and no mortgage, so let the good times roll!!!

I am dead jealous now.... Mine is a week 26 build. As of Monday it was not confirmed as I was able to make some changes.
Does anyone know if there is a fixed day when the orders get confirmed or does it just happen?

It just happens. However, I was told by by dealer the more chances you make the longer it will take to get your car as the build date keeps getting put back.

In that case I'm f****d. I've changed my mind so much It'll probably not come until next year:D

Wah hey..... just called the dealer. Mine to is confirmed and is awaiting assembly.....apprently it has changed status quite quickly!!! Due early July.

Has anyone else seen the gold Cooper with the black roof? it's in one of the Australian brochures... It's worth getting your car resprayed to be an individual mmmmm:D :D

You may not have to worry about getting your car resprayed, Gold is going to be introduced and Silk Green dropped apparently.

I would hope it does, because in a beemer it sounds fantastic, almost as good as a Volvo V90s :D
But then again IMO £350 is cheap so quality may suffer :(

It's £350 for the 8 speakers and Amp. You still have to pay extra for CD/MD.

My dealer had a DS/white when I looked in on Thursday, looked fantastic, if only it hadnt got the S-Lites painted white, I could have seen what my car would properly look like.

Had another test drive today, can't get to sleep now, thinking about getting my S far too much...can't be healthy!

I need to get my insurance sorted too... Ready to drop my pants and get shafted by my current insurer for the upgrade! :(

Well I've spent all day searching for a Dark Silver S with a white roof. Three dealerships later I managed to find one.:D

Conclusion: I want a white roof!!!:(

I am going to try an change my order on Monday, I just hope it's not too late. :( :rolleyes:

We're in the same boat mate;) Want to change my colour from Red/w to DS/w. My dealer wasn't to sure whether he could change my spec. Find that hard to believe since my car is scheduled for delivery in week 32, which is seven weeks from now. Should be able to change then, don't I? Only accept yes for an answer. When's your car supposed to arive at your dealer LMB?

I've been given an Est. Delivery date of 27th July which is six weeks away. So my fingers are crossed.:rolleyes:

I wish they could have told me this today whether it's too late but for some stupid reason their computers only work on weekdays.:rolleyes:

At the end of the day I will be upset if I can't change but it won't be the end of the world. :) DS/Black still looks good.:)

Good choice LMB, where did you find the S with the white roof? My dealer (Sandal of Wakefield) has one, but it has the White S-Spokes which kinda looked wrong IMHO.

Apart from that I thought the white roof made the car stand out more (and the spoiler).

I have bought a poser plate for mine so I already know what it is going to be.... S4 ***.
I am an old duffer at 38 and to upgrade the insurance from my cooper for four months cost me £100!!
I think I will have a shop round in October.
