Hi - Just curious what your wait times have been from when the car was produced to when it arrived at your dealer, ready for you to pick up.
I've heard anything from 2 to 8 weeks - this is quite a wide window. I'm on the east coast US - car is coming to Connecticut
Thanks

Factories actually produce lots of cars equipped as per the more popular option/color combinations and then match orders to cars. I would suggest that IF they HAVE to build from scratch, it will be closer or even longer than 8 weeks (figure at least two weeks for transit). If your order is a match for a car that has already been built/shipped/scheduled, then you will be in luck and get what you want in a shorter time.

Hi Genevieve,
I'm in VA, so time frame should be similar to you. My car finished production on March 21, and was at my dealer by April 6. I was very lucky and was loaded on a ship the day it arrived in Southhampton. I think four weeks is about average.

When my first MINI was produced. It made it to the port the next day and loaded onto a ship that same day. It made it to the VDC on a Saturday (8 days after being produced). By Monday I picked it up.
I have no idea what it will be like for the MCSC that is being assembled today as we speak..
